Overview
Custom Objects are custom information types that you configure to help you gather information not supported in Unifyr One as a default, for example case studies or a Partner Q&A.
For more information about Custom Objects, see Custom Objects.
An instance of the custom information provided by your partner, or you, is known as a submission in Unifyr One. Submissions are made either by partners in the partner portal (via the Custom Object Listing feature page) or provided by you in Unifyr One Admin. All submissions are listed in Unifyr One Admin and you can specify that they must be approved by you, if required.
Note
Partner submissions and supplier submissions also appear in the Custom Object Listing page in the partner portal.
Custom Objects can be associated with deals. If a deal includes a listing for a custom information type (Custom Object), partners can make submissions of the information from within the deal, accessed via the Deals feature page. Submissions made for a deal are all listed in the deal. They are also registered in Unifyr One Admin so you can approve them, if required.
Viewing and management of Custom Objects is controled by these permissions:
- Partner Management > Custom Objects - individual submissions of custom information
- System Management > Forms and Fields - the Custom Objects (information types) themselves

Configure the Submissions List
You can view all submissions of a Custom Object (custom information type) by going to Partner Management > Custom Objects, and clicking the Custom Object whose submissions you want to view.
You can customize the columns displayed on the Submissions list to view the most relevant information at a glance.
- Navigate to Partner Management > Custom Objects.
- Click the Custom Object whose view you want to configure.
-
Click the icon on the top right-hand corner of the table to open the Column Configuration window.
-
Selected Columns shows the columns that are currently in the table, in the order in which they display.
Available Columns shows the columns that can still be added to the table.
To add a column to the table, or move an existing one, drag and drop it to the required position in Selected Columns.
Alternatively, you can remove a column from the table by clicking the X icon next to it in Selected Columns.
-
Once you have your desired column configuration, click Save.
If you are an Administrator, you can enable the Save As Default option if you want this configuration to be used by all users in your Unifyr One Admin account (except those users that have made a change to their own Column Configuration).
View Submissions from Partners and Suppliers
You can view all submissions of a Custom Object (custom information type) in Unifyr One Admin, whether made in your partner portal or by you in Unifyr One Admin.
- Navigate to Partner Management > Custom Objects.
- Select the Custom Object whose submissions you want to see. In the example below, the Custom Object is called Case Studies.
-
The list of submissions of that Custom Object (custom information type) displays. Note the Status field - the Custom Object Case Studies is set to require supplier approval for partner submissions. The partner submission has not yet been approved, so is displaying Pending in the Status field.
For information on approving portal submissions, see Approve/Reject a Submission below.
-
To view the detail of a submission, click on the submission in the list to open it.
As well as the data entered by the submitter, you can see this information in the right sidebar:
- Custom Object - The Custom Object against which the submission was made.
-
Partner - The partner for which the submission applies.
Partner information is automatically added if a partner creates a submission in the partner portal. It's added manually when creating a submission in Unifyr One Admin.
-
Related To (for submissions of Custom Objects of type Deal) - The deal against which the submission was made.
This is included if a partner added a piece of the custom information to a deal in the partner portal.
- Created - The date the submission was originally created.
- Updated - The date of the last update to the submission.
-
If you want to make a change to a submission, make the changes you want here. Click Save.
Create a Submission
You can create an instance of the custom information type in Unifyr One and have it passed to a selected partner in the partner portal.
- Navigate to Partner Management > Custom Objects.
- Select the Custom Object for which to create a submission. In the example below, the Custom Object is called Case Studies.
- Click Create New.
-
In the form that opens, complete the fields provided. Select the partner to which to make the information available.
The forms and the fields it contains are configured in Advanced Administration > Forms & Fields > Custom Objects. You have one form for portal submissions and one form for submissions made here - they can be different. For more information, see Custom Objects.
-
Click Save to complete the submission. The information is added to the list view for the selected Custom Object.
Note
The new submission is already approved, even though the Custom Object has Require Approval? set. The setting only applies to submissions made by your partners in the partner portal.
The submission is also added to the partner portal, if the Custom Object Listing feature page is included in the site navigation. In the example below, the Custom Object Listing page is named Case Study.
Approve/Reject a Submission
If a Custom Object has Require Approval? set, any submissions of that object (custom information type) that come from the partner portal need to be approved by the supplier.
If the Custom Object doesn't have Require Approval? set, partner submissions are automatically approved.
Note
Submissions of the information made by the supplier don't need to be approved.
- Navigate to Partner Management > Custom Objects.
- Select the Custom Object that has the submission you want to approve/reject. In the example below, the Custom Object is called Case Studies.
- Click on the submission you want to approve/reject. If necessary, you can filter the list for a Status of Pending.
- Click Approve or Reject as appropriate.
-
The Status of the submission is updated.
You can return and change the submission's approval/rejection status later.
Delete a Submission
- Navigate to Partner Management > Custom Objects.
- Select the Custom Object that has the submission you want to approve/reject. In the example below, the Custom Object is called Case Studies.
- Click on the submission you want to delete.
- Click Delete.
- A pop-up asks you to confirm that you’d like to delete this object.
- Click Delete.
The submission is removed from the list view. It is also removed from the list in the portal, if the Custom Object Listing page is enabled.
Export a list of Submissions
You can export a CSV list of submissions of a custom object for reference.
- Navigate to Partner Management > Custom Objects.
- Select the Custom Object that has the submissions you want to export. In the example below, the Custom Object is called Product Offering.
