Suppliers can use Custom Objects to define custom information types that aren't available in Unifyr One as a default, such as customer case studies, partner Q&As, requests for demo units, etc. Partners and suppliers then use forms to enter instances of the custom information. You can set up Partner Group Rules based on those Custom Objects in Unifyr One. For example, a supplier might provide Custom Objects that represent customer case studies and warranty registrations. You could create Partner Group rules that identify partners who have submitted at least one customer case study, or who have a warranty with a specific provider.
For more information about Custom Objects, see Custom Objects.
You can add a rule based on the object itself (for example, Case Studies) or on one of the fields in the object (for example, the Warranty Provider field in Warranty Registrations).
Note: This information is for guidance only. It is expected that every site has different custom data requirements. Here we're assuming that a supplier is collecting Case Study and Warranty Registration information.
Rules based on a Custom Object (custom information type)
If you choose the object (custom information type) itself, the rule can only be based on the number of submissions of the custom information type the partner has made (a quantitative rule, for example at least 1 case study submitted).
In this example, the Custom Object is named Case Studies.
Rules based on a field/value in a Custom Object
If you choose a field in a Custom Object, you can configure a rule based on the values of the field that have been submitted (a qualitative rule).
Note: A field from a Custom Object is denoted with a bullet in the drop down menu for the rule editor.
In this example, the Custom Object is named Warranty Registration. The object includes these fields:
- Customer Company Name
- Customer Contact Email
- Customer Contact Full Name
- Customer Contact Phone
- Related Order #
- Warranty Provider
- Warranty Term Months
