Geocoding Addresses for Locators

Geocoding is the process of converting an address into a set of coordinates, that Unifyr One uses to plot a partner on a map. The Google Map Geocoding API is used to do this.

Geocoding happens as a background process that runs every 2 hours, processing every partner that has had their address updated.

An address must include this information to be geocoded:

  • Country
  • City
  • Address 1 or Zip Code

Unifyr One will only try to geocode addresses for Partners that would be displayed by a Locator - if the Partner is a member of any Partner Groups that are selected for a Locator.

Important

There will be a delay between creating a Locator and the first geocoding of Partners.

The Partner Locator map is not shown when there are no Partners with coordinates.
