Manage Provider Offerings

Overview

As a supplier, you can collaborate with external providers to provide marketing services to partners through Unifyr One partner portal. You can create provider accounts to connect these providers with your partners. Each provider may have different offerings they make available to partners. These offerings may be services such as website development, event setup and management, document production, or a range of other marketing activities. You can provide your partners with access to these providers by adding a provider offering to your campaigns and marketing activities for each provider that can supply the service.

You can add offerings to an activity, so that partner can get help from you, or one of your approved 3rd party providers, to carry out the activity. For example, for the custom activity Monthly Webinar, you may have three providers who can provide assistance with setup, invitations, hosting, lead generation, etc. If you add offerings from all three, the partner can choose which provider's service or price suits them best.

A partner may see a notification that a provider will be carrying out the service when they access the activity to include in a campaign:

You can also use the Providers page or the Unifyr One Marketplace to provide a list of providers and their services to your partners, so they can get quotes and engage with them directly.

Note: Contact your Unifyr One team to have Agency Marketplace enabled for your system. The Providers page (either standalone or as part of the Marketplace bundle) won't show any offerings if this is disabled.

An offering is configured in Unifyr One as a variation of a marketing activity, linked to the provider who will supply the service. Provider offerings are most commonly applied to custom activities, since a provider's service is generally one not supported in Unifyr One as standard. However, they can be added to any of the marketing activities that Unifyr One offers, such as sending emails or setting up website plugins, if external providers will be handling these on behalf of your partners.

Intended Audience

Channel Marketing Leader, Channel Sales Leader, Partner Marketing Director, Partner Channel Sales Director, or Partner Channel Account Manager.

Before You Begin

Before you add a provider offering, we recommend creating and personalizing a campaign and populating it with the required marketing activities and a contact list.

You should also add provider accounts so you can link a provider with each offering.

For more information, see:

External providers offer some marketing activities that Unifyr One does not provide, such as event setup and management or telemarketing. You can still manage and track these activities in your Unifyr One campaigns by using custom activities. Providers' offerings are most effective when applied to these custom activities. For information on how to set up custom activities, see Manage Custom Activities.

How to Add Provider Offerings

This process assumes that you are adding a provider offering to a Unifyr One custom activity. The same steps apply if you are working with Unifyr One standard marketing activities - emails, website plugins, and multimedia. For information on creating custom activities, see Manage Custom Activities.

  1. Navigate to Partner Marketing > Custom Activities.
  2. Click on the required custom activity in the list, to open it for edit.
  3. In the Offering area, click Add Offer if this is the first offering on the activity, or click Add Variation if there are already offerings on the activity.
  4. In Add/Edit Offering, provide this information:

    Parameter  Type  Description
    Description Text

A description of the offering. This is displayed to the partners in their partner portal.

The offering description indicating the version of the asset is passed to Salesforce if you are using CRM or PRM.

    Request Quote  Check Box

[Optional] Set to On if the partner will request a quote from the provider for the service.

This is usually used if the service doesn't have a fixed price.

Offering Price (in $ or Pts) Text

[Optional] The cost of the service (fixed price). You can leave this field blank if Request Quote is set to On, or if you don't intend to charge your partners for the service.

The field is shown in $ or Pts, depending on your setup and whether you have MDF Management enabled.

Days to Complete  Text [Optional] The number of days it will take the provider to carry out the service.
    Custom Reimbursement Rate Drop-down

[Optional] How much of the cost you are prepared to reimburse to your partners.

The rate you set here overrides any reimbursement rate set on the fund type (if you're using them). Typically, this rate is higher than the reimbursement rate set on the fund type.

    Fund Types Toggle and Checkboxes

[Optional] The funds that will be used to pay for the service, if you're managing funds in Unifyr One.

Leave All Fund Types selected if any Fund Type can be used, or if the partner will pay for the service themselves.

Click Select Fund Types and choose Fund Types if you're limiting this offering to only be reimbursed out of specific Fund Types.

    Providers

The providers that can be chosen to execute this activity.

All Providers - all active providers

Selected Providers - select this option and choose specific providers from the list

This setting also determines which providers will receive a quote request if the offering has Request Quote enabled.

You must choose at least one provider for the service to be available for selection on Unifyr One Marketplace.

Auto-expire attachments 30 days after order completion Checkbox

[Optional] Whether attachments on an order for this offering should be automatically expired once the service has been delivered (order marked as Complete).

This is useful if PII/sensitive information might be shared during delivery of the service. For example, a partner could send a provider a list of contacts (names, titles, addresses) to support an order for a direct mail activity. This will be attached to the order as a comment. Business needs or security protocols may demand that this is removed once it is no longer needed.

    Notify Email Address Text

[Optional] Any additional email addresses that should receive notifications of orders and communications from partners. Use a comma to separate multiple addresses.

The Contact Email for the provider will always automatically receive these messages as a default.

    Terms of Use Text

[Optional] Any supplier or provider terms for the offering or its delivery, for example Partners must upload a full list of attendees within 7 days of the event to receive reimbursement.

You can also link to an external Terms of Use.

  5. Click Apply to save the offering.

The offering will now display under Offering on the activity's details view. You can review the description, request quote status, price, days to completion, and notify email address for the offering.

The offering will now appear to your partners if you provide them with the Marketplace page in their partner portal.

  6. To make changes to the offering, click Edit. To remove it from the activity, click Delete.
  7. Repeat the steps to add further offerings of the activity as required, for example from different providers. You will use the Add Variation link.
  8. Click Publish to make the custom activity and its offerings available on the partner portal, and in the Unifyr One Marketplace if used. You can now add the activity to a campaign, if required.
