Notification: Lead Distribution

Overview

Unifyr One automatically sends notifications about lead activity to any of these, depending on your lead configuration:

  • Assigned partner user for a lead
  • Additional Lead Notification Recipients set by the supplier in the partner account
  • Partner users set up to receive Default Lead Notifications
  • Sales reps

The notification recipients can be configured by the partner administrator via their portal settings.

You as the supplier have the option to create custom email templates for Lead Notifications to your partners. These templates can be tailored to specific Partner Groups. For more information, see About Custom Email Notification Templates.

Partners receive a Lead Notification email when a new lead is distributed to them, including partners that have a CRM connection. The email provides lead details and, as a default, the option to Accept, Reject or Reassign the lead. You can hide the action buttons in the email, for example if your partners are auto-accepting leads. For more information, see Showing/Hiding Accept Lead and Reject Lead Buttons in Lead Distribution Notifications.

The next stages of notification depend on the setup of your Lead Distribution program:

  • If process ends when partners accept the leads for progression - no further notifications (except Lead Rejected Notification, if they reject the lead)
  • If you have an email workflow set up - you may get lead update information from partners as the lead progresses through the sales cycle until it becomes a deal or opportunity.

Lead Notification

The standard Lead Notification email is a versatile, partner-facing email design that can be customized to meet several needs. It can be a lead notification email, lead update request email, opportunity update request, or a process complete email. These emails are triggered for distribution in the following ways:

  • When a new lead is distributed to a partner account through lead creation in Unifyr One Admin.
  • When a new lead is distributed to the partner account via a PRM/CRM.
  • When the Resend Notification button is pressed for a Distributed Lead in Unifyr One Admin > Leads & Deals.
  • When a lead has an opportunity registered for it.
  • When a lead is created from an activity.

Some examples of Lead Notification emails are shown below.

New Distributed Lead Notification

The standard New Distributed Lead notification is sent to notify a partner that they have been assigned a new sales lead. It's sent to the portal user assigned to the lead, or the Default Lead Owner if no specific person is assigned.

Lead Update Request Notification

The Request for Updated Lead Status notification is sent as a request from the supplier that a distributed lead must be updated within (x) days. It's sent to the owner assigned to the lead, or the Default Lead Owner if there's no specific owner.

Lead Rejected Notification

The lead rejection notification gives you a chance to investigate why a lead was rejected by your partner. Rejection may be the result of insufficient information on the lead to pursue it further. These notifications are sent when a lead is rejected by the partner account. If you want to use this feature and it is not enabled in your environment, submit a request to your Unifyr One team.
