Creating Lead > Deal Mappings for Lead Conversion

You can set up mappings between lead and deal fields so that data in a lead is auto-populated in the New Deal form, when a partner converts the lead into a deal.

  1. Navigate to   > Settings > Forms & Fields > Deal > Lead Conversion.
  2. Select the lead field in the left column, and the corresponding deal field in the right column.
  3. Click Add to save the mapping.

When a partner converts a lead into a deal in the partner portal, the New Deal form will show the copied data in the specified fields. The user can accept the value or update the field before submitting the deal.

Notes:

  • Ensure that you've added the target deal field into the relevant deal form if you want to use its mapping. For more information, see Adding/Removing Fields in Forms.
  • Unifyr One doesn't validate the mappings - incompatible data type mappings such as Text > Date are ignored. To help you, each field name is suffixed with the type of data the field accepts, e.g. Pricebook (Text) or Created (Date).
  • If you map a multi-select type field from a lead to a single-select type field in a deal, the first item that is selected in the list in the lead will be passed to the deal.
  • If you've mapped a lead field to the Deal Type field, and the lead field value matches a valid Deal Type, the partner won't see a Deal Type selection option when they create the deal. The selection will be made for them in the deal form.
  • If you've mapped a lead field to a Deal Type, and the partner user doesn't have access to the intended deal type, the type won't be passed to the deal. The Deal Type selection menu will be displayed in the New Deal Form.
  • If you've mapped a lead field to the Pricebook field, and the lead field value matches a valid Pricebook, the partner won't see a Pricebook selection option when they create the deal. The selection will be made for them in the deal form.
