Adding and Managing Custom Lead Stages

Lead Stages reflect the sales process that you'd like a lead to follow. You can add custom Lead Stages to match the steps or statuses in your company’s lead management process. They apply to all lead types: Marketing, Distributed, Registered, and Locator leads.

To create a new custom Lead Stage, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to   > Settings > Forms & Fields > Lead > Register > Stages.
  2. Click Create Stage.
  3. Enter this information:
    • Display Name - the name that the partners will see in the portal - in lead details and when using Update Lead Stage. You can change this value later, if required.
    • Internal Name - the internal reference name of the stage. This can't be edited once saved.
    • [Optional] Partner Locked - if yes, a deal will be closed for further stage updates in the portal if it's at this stage (lead is closed).

      The default stages Qualified and Unqualified/Invalid are set as locked. Note the padlock icon.

  4. Click Save.

Note that these default stages are also provided in the Lead Stages page, and you can update them as shown below:

  • New - rename, lock
  • Contacted - rename, lock, delete
  • Nurture - rename, lock, delete
  • Qualified - rename, unlock
  • Unqualified/Invalid - rename, unlock
