Partner impersonation enables users such as your Channel Account Manager to see the partner portal and data exactly as a partner user sees them. Partner impersonation is helpful for troubleshooting complaints about the portal or its content, or monitoring a partner’s progress.
Your admin user can enable partner impersonation for selected users in your Unifyr One account.
Notes
For the admin user to have the option to grant impersonation permission to users, your system must have the App Setting Partner Impersonation for Customers enabled.
To avoid violation of GDPR when impersonating a partner, your Unifyr One team can enable these App Settings:
-
Hide Contacts and Leads while impersonating - a partner's contacts and leads aren't visible to a user impersonating into their account
This option doesn't apply for Unifyr employees.
- Disable contacts and leads export while impersonating - an impersonating user can't export a partner's contacts and leads
Submit a request to your Unifyr One team if you want any of these settings enabled.
The admin user can grant partner impersonation permission to one of your users by following these steps when creating/editing the user. For more information, see Adding a Unifyr One Admin User:
- Navigate to > Settings > Users.
- Click Create User, or choose to edit an existing user.
- Go to Additional Permissions and enable the Can Impersonate setting.
- Click Save.
The user now has permission to impersonate partner and user portal accounts. They can choose either of these options:
Access a partner portal account
- Go to Partner Management > Partner Explorer and open the partner account.
- In the Summary tab, click Access Portal Account.
Log in as a partner user
- Go to Partner Management > Partner Explorer and open the partner account
- In the Users tab, select the user to impersonate and click their entry to open it for edit.
- Click Login As User.

Conditions of use
You must have language in your Unifyr One Terms & Conditions that states that you may periodically impersonate partners to access their account.
OR
Confirm in writing that Unifyr is indemnified in the event a partner has a legal complaint about you accessing their partner account. - Impersonation impacts partner login and activity metrics. When your user impersonates a partner, any logins and activity they take will appear as if they were taken by the partner.
