Add a Form to a Web Content Object

There are two ways in which you can add a form to a web content object:

  • Select a template (Unifyr template, or one of your saved templates) that includes a form
  • Create a new form in a page from scratch - this section tells you how

To create a new form in a landing page:

  1. Navigate to Partner Marketing > Web Content.
  2. Find the object to which you want to add a form, and click on it to open it for edit.
  3. Click Edit Content.
  4. Choose the page to which to add the form, if applicable. Select it from the page switcher in the top toolbar. For more information, see Adding Multiple Pages to a Web Content Object.
  5. From the right-hand Content panel, find the Form object and drag it into the required location in the landing page content.

  6. Click in the form in the page content - it’s highlighted in blue to show that it’s active.
  7. Use the right-hand Form Properties panel to define the layout of the form, and the fields and labels it displays.

  8. Scroll down to the Manage Fields section of the panel to manage the fields you want to include in the form for completion.

    These fields are included as a default:

    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Email Address
    • Country

    The form also includes a button for the recipient to submit the form - it has the default label Submit.

  9. Click Add new field to add a new field to the form.

    You can choose from more core contact fields  - Mobile Phone, Work Phone, Address 1, Address 2, City, State/Region, Zip Code

    You can also select any of your own custom Contact fields (configured in   > Forms & Fields > Lead > Contact > Custom Fields - for more information, see Custom Fields.

    The field name, as configured in Unifyr Admin, is shown for the field’s entry in the form. You can add a different label for the field in the form.

  10. If you’ve added a field to the form, you can click Edit to configure it.

    Use these options as required:

    • Choose the label
    • Select the type of field to add - for example a text field, a button, an email address, a URL, a dropdown list, etc
    • Specify whether field is required (must be completed in the form)
    • Specify whether the field is read-only in the form
    • For Email, Number, Phone, Text, and URL field types, add default (placeholder) text to show in the field
    • For select field types (Multiple choice, Single choice, Dropdown), specify the options to be presented for selection
    • For Number field type, specify minimum/maximum values
    • For Long Text field type, specify the number of rows you want to provide

  11. Change the label that appears for a field in the form. Click in the text area and enter the new label. Click out of the field to update the label in the form.

  12. Click Delete to remove a field.

  13. Reorder the fields in the form if required, by clicking icon_drag.png and dragging a field to the required location.
  14. Confirm the label for the button that recipient clicks to submit the form - the default label is Submit.

  15. Scroll down to the right-hand Label Options panel to define how the field labels in the form should appear - text color, font, spacing, position, alignment, etc.

  16. Scroll down to the right-hand Field Options panel to define how the fields in the form should appear - colors, content padding, borders, etc.

  17. Scroll down to the right-hand Button Options panel to define how any buttons in the form should appear - width, colors, font, letter spacing, padding, border, etc.

  18. Click Save or Save and Close to save changes to the landing page.
