Translating a Portal Post

With Portal Posts, you can publish content and updates such as company news, blog posts, and event registration pages to your partners in the portal.

For more information about Portal Posts, see About Portal Posts.

This process describes how to provide translation of a Portal Post in a single language. You can translate it into other languages by selecting the new language from the post’s language selector (step 3) and repeating the rest of the process.

You can translate these areas of a Portal Post:

  • Display Name
  • Summary
  • Post content (if you're creating the content in Unifyr One). You can’t translate the content of a linked external file in Unifyr One.

  1. Navigate to Partner Portal > Posts.
  2. In the Posts list, find and select the Portal Post you want to translate, to open it for edit. This is the English language version that will form the basis for the translated version.
If content is created in Unifyr One If post content is external resource (linked)
  1. Choose the language for which you want to provide a translation from the dropdown menu at the top of the editor. There is a checkmark beside any language for which a translation of the page has already been created. If you only see English checked, no translations for other languages have been created.

The new language version is created, with the content in English.

Note: If you subscribe to our Automatic Translations feature (with Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond subscriptions), you can choose how you want to create the new version of the post - select one of these options:

    • Use the template - Copy the English version as the template for the non-English one, and add the translations yourself.
    • Translate - have the content auto-translated by Unifyr One. You can edit the translation after they’ve been done this way, if required.

  2. Go to the content edit area for the post. Add translated text content as required. You can also review and make changes to existing translations or ones that have been auto-generated by Unifyr One (if you have the Automatic Translations feature enabled).

    • Display Name
    • Summary

These items provide the post summary information in the Posts lists in the portal:
