Creating Website Plugins

To create new website plugins, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Partner Marketing > Website Plugins.
  2. Click Create Website Plugin.
  3. Provide the following information:

    Parameter  Type  Description
    Create Dropdown

Select the template from which to create the plugin.

The list displays the templates that are available in your account - submit a request to your Unifyr One team if you can't see a template that you need.

Name  Text Enter the internal name that will display in Unifyr One Admin.
Display Name Rich Text Enter the name that will display for your partners in the Unifyr One partner portal.
Description  Text Add a brief summary of the plugin.
Effective Date Begin Date Selector Confirm the start date of the period in which partners can activate the activity in the Unifyr One partner portal.
Effective Date End Date Selector Confirm the end date of the activation period.
    Is Promoted? Checkbox

Suppliers can promote activities to increase partner adoption. If the Is Promoted? option is enabled, the activity will appear at the top of the Browse Website Plugins page, in a Promoted window, in the Unifyr One partner portal.

Use the start and end date pickers to define the period for which the activity will be promoted.

    Stand-Alone Support Checkbox

Specify whether to include a URL to the website plugin for the partner.

They can copy the URL (named Standalone URL) when they're personalizing/publishing the plugin.

    Internal Notes Text

[Optional] Capture information about the activity that is only visible to you, as a supplier.

The note will not be visible in the partner portal.

Thumbnail File Upload Upload the thumbnail for the plugin. We recommend 100x110px. The maximum file size is 2MB.
  4. Click Next. You are taken to the configuration window, where you add your configuration to each area of the plugin (for example landing page, asset page, and contact confirmation), defined in a series of steps. The areas you need to configure depend on the template you selected when creating the plugin.
  5. Use the View step menu to select and access each area of the plugin and configure it to your preferences. You can use these features for each step:

    • Use the View as partner dropdown to view the area, either as your test partner account or without personalization.
    • Use the preview area in the centre of the window to make changes to editable fields in the plugin page (anything highlighted in blue or displaying a pencil icon), such as uploading images, adding text, or changing button labels. The display changes to preview the changes you've made.
    • Click Show advanced display options to preview the addition/removal of basic settings and features (Admin users). Note: this does not change the configuration of the template. Partners can still personalize all available template fields.
    • Carry out branding and other configuration tasks in Other Personalization, such as setting the language, section layout, colors, and images, adding links to assets, and including contact fields. The fields available here depend on the template you selected for the plugin.

    Note

Do not copy and paste content from another program, e.g. Microsoft Word. Hidden styling in copied content can cause issues with Unifyr One functionality. We recommend creating the content directly in Unifyr One Admin.

  6. Click Next/Previous to move through and edit the areas in the plugin sequentially. Click Save to save your changes as you go.
  7. Click Done when you've finished configuring all the areas of the plugin. You are taken to the details view of the plugin. You can now review, edit and/or publish the plugin. If you want to restrict the availability of the plugin to certain partners, go to Edit Details, where you can create Partner Filters. For more information, see How to Review and Edit Website Plugin Details.

The website plugin now appears in your list of marketing activities.
