Adding and Managing Custom Deal Stages

Deal Stages reflect the sales process that you'd like a deal to follow. You can add custom Deal Stages to match the steps or statuses in your company’s Deal Registration process.

The Deal Stages list view (  > Settings > Forms & Fields > Deal > Stages) displays three columns:

  • Stage - The name of the Deal Stage. 
  • Probability (%) -  The probability that a deal at this stage will run to closure/win (in percentage) 
    • A higher value Deal Stage indicates the deal is closer to closing.
    • Use this column to modify your list view to display Deal Stages in ascending or descending order.
  • Save/Delete - If renaming/editing a Deal Stage, click the checkmark to save your changes. Use the trash can icon to delete a Deal Stage.

By default, Closed Lost (0%) and Closed Won (100%) will automatically be available as standard Deal Stages. These can be renamed by clicking on the Deal Stage name, but cannot be deleted.

To create a new custom Deal Stage:

  1. Navigate to   > Settings > Forms & Fields > Deal > Stages.
  2. Click Create Stage.
  3. Enter this information:
    • Name - The name of the Deal Stage. Choose something that your organization and your partners will understand. You can rename a stage once created.
    • Probability (%) - The probability that a deal at this stage will run to closure/win (in percentage). Enter values in whole numbers between 0 and 100. Duplicate probabilities may not be created. Each Deal Stage must have its own unique probability.
  4. Click the checkmark on the third column of the list view ( tick_icon.png ) to save the new stage.
