Note
This article contains instructions for systems with Unifyr One Global enabled to support a multi-instance setup.
Unifyr One Global is available for customers with a Platinum or Diamond subscription. Submit a request to your Unifyr One team if you are interested in having this enabled on your system.
If a user has been given access to multiple instances in your multi-instance setup, they can switch between them and access the data/tasks they are entitled to see.
In this example, the home/subsidiary instance hierarchy is:
Home instance - Acme Corp
Subsidiary instances - Acme Construction, Acme Delivery, and Acme Rockets
- Click (top right of the Unifyr One window) to open the Advanced Administration Settings.
-
Go to the drop down list at the bottom of the Settings window. This list is only available if Unifyr One Global is enabled.
In the example the menu is named Business Unit, but you decide what it is called during implementation. It's usually named to reflect the type of instances you're maintaining (Division, Region, Vertical, Brand, etc.).
If a user doesn't see the drop down list, and only sees one instance listed, they only have access to that instance. They can't switch into another instance.
-
Select the required instance from the drop down list.
You can see the hierarchy of instances in the list.
- When you've selected and opened one of the configured instances, note that a label in the top left corner of the Unifyr One window indicates which instance you're logged in to.
