Translating Content Tags

Tags are keywords that you can use to classify your content. They can be translated in Unifyr One Admin.

For information about managing Tags, see About Tags and Taxonomy and Tag Management.

This process describes how to provide translation of a Tag in a single language. You can translate into other languages by selecting the new language at the top of the Translations page (step 3) and repeating the rest of the process.

  1. Navigate to Partner Portal > Translations.
  2. Go to the Tags tab in the left sidebar.
  3. Choose the language for which you want to provide translations by selecting it in the English to… drop down menu at the top of the page.

The list shows all languages supported in Unifyr One. For translated content to be made available to your partners, you must specify which of these languages your portal will support in Partner Portal > Site Details > Language. For more information, see Branding, Languages and Other Settings for your Portal.

  4. Find the category of the tag you want to translate (Library Content, LMS, Marketing Activities, Portal Post, or Social Content) and click the arrow to expand it if necessary.
  5. Find the entry for the Tag that you want to translate. Each entry displays the translatable areas they contain - what is available depends on the Tag’s configuration in  > Settings > Tag Management:

    • Display Name
    • Values

Alternatively, you can use the Translate All option at the top of the page to auto-translate all entries displayed in the page. Ensure that you click Save All once you’ve checked the translations. Note that Translate All will not re-translate entries that are already translated.

  6. Enter the translation for each piece of text for the tag in the boxes provided. Click Not translated in the right-hand column to expose the box.
  7. Add the required translation. You can use the suggested translation if it's suitable.

  8. Click Save to preserve the update, or Cancel to leave the box without saving.
  9. Repeat for each box for the Tag, as required.
  10. Repeat to add translation for all Tags you want to present in the target language.
  11. All available translations for that language are automatically pushed to the partner portal. Any forms that includes filters based on the translated Tags will display the translated text when presented to a user who is set up in that language.
