About Learning Management

Overview

For your organization, the value of training/learning is in ensuring that your partners are able to represent your offering as consistently and effectively as possible. Participation in a learning program is an important metric when evaluating partner enablement. For your partners, courses provide valuable training to help them effectively execute your Partner Program.

Unifyr One provides a Learning Management System (LMS) to provide you with a way to recognize partner expertise, based on their achievement of your training objectives. You can find the configuration options in Partner Management > Learning Management in Unifyr One Admin.

A Unifyr One LMS is made up of Modules, Courses and Certifications:

  • Modules - A piece of training content, which can be delivered as a standalone learning task or bundled into a Course.

You can add a Quiz to a Module to assess your partners’ understanding of the training material. This supports the partner’s intake and retention of the Course information.

  • Course - Training content delivered to your partners, without providing a certificate of completion.

Courses can be delivered as a standalone offering or as part of a Certification program.

Courses are built from Modules, which form the sections of training content in the Course. Unifyr One supports the upload of various file types as Module content, including SCORM.

Modules and Quizzes can be reused across Courses, for example if you have a standard introduction that you would like to include in all training content.  Reusing a Module and/or Quiz simplifies management of training material. Partners that have completed the Module and/or Quiz for one Course or Certification will be credited and not be required to repeat it in another Course/Certification.

  • Certification - A more formal training qualification made up of a Course or Courses and with the option to provide a customized certificate at the end. A Certification provides tangible evidence of a partner's relationship with your organization and increases their credibility with potential customers.

A Certification is built from a Course or Courses. Courses can be reused across Certifications. This provides both flexibility and consistency.

Access to a Certification can be dependent on successful completion of a previous Certification.

Unifyr One provides the option to translate your Modules, Quizzes, Courses, and Certifications into multiple languages. For more information, see Translating Learning (LMS) Content.

Unifyr One Learning Management Summary

  • The LMS can be designed for individual partners based on their needs and prior certifications.
    • You can create tags for your LMS modules, courses and certifications, and use them to filter the delivery of training content to your partners. For more information, see Tag Management.
    • You can use Partner Group rules to design the route through the LMS and your required outcomes. For example, Unifyr One can require that certification be completed before specific content or views are available, e.g. a partner is not shown the Social Media page until they've completed the Social Certification.

FAQs

Click on the + to expand the information for the desired question.

What is the best way to re-certify a partner user if I re-create the same Certification for the new year?

There may be instances where you are creating a new version of the same Certification every year. To mark the new Certification as completed for those partner users that have already completed the previous year’s Certification, you can manually update their training progress. These partner users will then have access to the new certificate under the new Certification.

For information, see Manage Partners' Training Progress.

If I add a Module or Course to a Certification after a partner user has completed the original Certification, is the partner user still seen as certified?

Yes, once a Certification or Course is marked as completed it stays completed for the partner user, regardless of any later changes  to it.

Can I add a prerequisite Course or Module to my Certification?

No - it's not currently possible to make a Course or Module a prerequisite for a Certification.

You can make a Certification a prerequisite for accessing a subsequent Certification. When this is set, all Modules and Courses within your prerequisite Certification must be completed before the partner user can begin the next Certification.

We recommend adding a note in the Certification Description to outline which training criteria must be completed before other training content can be accessed.
