Permission Required
- Supplier roles with the permissions Partner Management > Partner Management (general) and Partner Management > Create Partners can create partner accounts. For more information about roles and permissions, see Managing Permissions for User Roles in Unifyr One Admin.
- If you have an SSO integration, this feature will not be available to you.
Follow the steps below to create a partner account:
- Navigate to Partner Management > Partner Explorer.
- Click Create Partner.
-
Complete these details to create the partner account:
- Partner Name - The display name for the partner account. Typically, this is the partner’s company name.
- Email, First Name, Last Name - The name and email address of the user associated with the partner account. This user is given the Administrator role for the account when the account is created. A Welcome email is sent to the email address given here, to prompt the user to login and set up the partner portal account.
- Click Next.
-
Provide additional company details about the partner. As well as standard contact information such as Address, Phone, and Website URL, you can add values for any of your custom Partner fields. For more information, see Custom Fields and Form Configuration. Required fields are highlighted in red.
Submit a request to your Unifyr One team if you want to customize the form you see here - the form Partner Registration Admin needs to be activated on your system.
-
Select an option to continue:
- Create - Creates the partner account and lists it in Partner Explorer > Partner Accounts.
- Create and View - Creates the partner account and takes you to the Profile area of the Partner Details view, where you can add additional partner information.
- Cancel - Exits the partner creation process.
Unifyr One checks for a match based on the email address provided. If there is an error with the contact upload or if a contact with that information already exists in your Unifyr One account, you will see a message.
The new partner account is listed in Partner Management > Partner Explorer > Partner Accounts. The status is Active. The specified user will receive a welcome email prompting them to login and set up their partner portal account.
This is an example of the email the contact will receive:
