Setting Up Partner Registration

Overview

Unifyr One supports two approaches to partner recruitment: inviting prospective partners to join via an email invite and allowing prospective partners to register via your partner portal. You can use both approaches at the same time.

The sections below outline the steps and knowledge base articles you will need to implement partner recruitment from beginning to end in Unifyr One.

Create Custom Fields for Partner Registration & Invitation

First, create any Custom Fields that you will need to add to your Partner Registration Form and the Partner Invitation Form. Custom Fields are additional data items that you collect from your partners outside of the standard field options that are included on our form. Custom fields can be configured to be visible on the Partner Registration Form and Partner Invitation Form as either optional or required.

Note

  • When creating Custom Fields for the Partner Registration Form, make sure to set the Visibility of the field to Show and/or Required for Partner Registration.
  • When creating Custom Fields for the Partner Invitation Form, make sure to set the Visibility of the field to Show and/or Required for Partner Invitation.

Visit our Custom Fields article for more information about:

Create a Custom Page for Partner Registration

Next, build a Custom Page for Partner Registration that you can add to your partner portal. You will be able to lead prospective partners to this page to register for your partner program.

Our Custom Page builder offers pre-made templates to create a Partner Registration page that automatically includes the Partner Registration Form. Alternatively, you can create your own layout using our WYSIWYG page editor.

Important

If you are creating your own page layout, make sure you add a Partner Registration widget to your Custom Page using Dynamic Content. This will add the Partner Registration Form to your page.

Visit our Custom Page: Create or Edit article for more information about:

Add the Partner Registration Custom Page to Site Navigation

Once your Custom Page is built, we recommend adding it to the Logged Out view of your partner portal. The Logged Out view of your partner portal is a great place to promote your channel program to prospective partners.

Visit Manage Site Configuration and Navigation for information about adding your Partner Registration Custom Page under Default Partner Views > Logged Out.

Invite Partners to Register

Partner Invitations allow you to recruit partners via email to join your program and can be used alongside your Partner Registration page on your partner portal.  Visit our About Partner Invitations article for more information about:

  • The Partner Invitations View
  • The Partner Invitations Details View
  • Inviting New Partners
  • Sending Invitations in Bulk

Manage Accepted Invitations and Partner Registrations

Depending on your system configuration, once a partner has accepted an invitation or has registered, pending partners may be created for you to match, accept, reject, or edit.  See Pending Partners for more information about:
