07 Dec - Updates to Lead Registration, Custom Objects, and Reporting
- Email validation for Lead Registration
- Partner permissions on Custom Objects
- Update to Campaign Summary explore
- General improvements and bug fixes
Email validation for Lead Registration
It's now possible to implement a restriction to Lead Registration that blocks users from registering their own email, or emails of their colleagues, as leads.
This control is enabled with the App Setting Prevent Leads & Contacts Using Own Email Domain. When it's enabled, a user can't register emails from their own email domain as leads or contacts. They'll see this message if they try: Cannot use your own email domain.
Submit a request to your Unifyr One team if you want to implement this restriction.
Partner permissions on Custom Objects
We've added permissions to Custom Objects (custom information types), so you can control how partners interact with submissions of custom information in the partner portal.
When creating/editing a Custom Object, you'll see the new Partner Access Level option:
- Create and Edit - partners can create their own submissions, and edit and view existing ones
- Edit Only - partners can edit and view existing submissions
- View Only - partners can only view submissions
If an object doesn't have Create permission for users, the Create button is removed from the listing page for the Custom Object.
If an object doesn't have Edit permission, all fields in a submission are displayed in read-only form, with no Save button.
Update to Campaign Summary explore
Web plugin statistics reported in the Campaign Summary explore have been updated to only include data from campaign activations. This change standardizes reporting across all tactics in the explore, ensuring web plugin statistics are fully aligned with other campaign components.
Campaign Summary reports now more accurately reflect activity driven directly by campaigns. You may see a decrease in reported campaign-level web plugin statistics if those plugins were previously active outside of a campaign context.
To view overall web plugin performance, including those activated outside of campaigns, see the Web Plugin Summary explore.
30 Nov - Updates to Web Plugins, Reports, and Email
personalization in portal
- Standalone URL for Web Plugins
- Improved Browse Favorites experience for reports
- Resize Image option removed from email personalization in portal
- Show leads and contacts when impersonating for Unifyr employees
- General improvements and bug fixes
Standalone URL for Web Plugins
You can now provide a standalone URL to a website plugin for your partners. If enabled, your partners can pick up the URL when they're personalizing/publishing a plugin. They can then link the plugin directly from a web page, or from marketing content such as emails or social posts.
When editing a website plugin, enable the Stand-Alone Support setting.
Improved Browse Favorites experience for reports
We've improved the user experience when you're working in the Analytics & Reports menu. When you're viewing reports you've favorited (with the Toggle Favorites option on, if enabled), you will see:
- A new Refresh Favorites button
- A spinner to indicate reports and dashboards are loading
- Improved performance
For information about favoriting reports, see Favoriting Reports and Filtering Navigation in Analytics & Reports.
Resize Image option removed from email personalization in portal
We've removed the option for partners to resize images when personalizing an email on the portal. We removed it as it was not having an effect - the email templates we create use a fixed width.
Note
This applies to older legacy style emails only, not those that are personalized using the embedded BeeFree editor:
Show leads and contacts when impersonating for Unifyr employees
Note
This is an internal release note.
The Hide Leads and Contacts when impersonating setting no longer applies to Unifyr employees.
23 Nov - Updates to Deals and Partner Groups
- Configurable Deals display for portal
- Update Matches option for Partner Groups
- General improvements and bug fixes
Configurable Deals display for portal
You can now specify how deals are listed to partners in their portal, by choosing what deal information is displayed for each deal.
In your site navigation, choose the Deals feature page. Enable the Enable List Configuration setting then specify the fields to be shown in the Deal Listing Fields area.
The following fields are always displayed, shown as locked in the listing:
- Deal Name
- Account
- Total Value
- Status
A partner's Deals listing will all show the requested information, in an updated card layout.
Update Matches option for Partner Groups
We've updated the way in which Partner Groups are updated when you're editing them. Previously, a Partner Group refreshed every time you made a change to a rule, which impacted performance. Now, when you've made a change to a group's criteria, you click Update Matches to regenerate its list of matching partners/users.
16 Nov
This release includes general improvements and bug fixes.
09 Nov - Update to Deals
- Auto-expiry of Deals
- General improvements and bug fixes
Auto-expiry of Deals
We've added an option for suppliers to specify that pending deals should automatically expire after a configured period of time.
When enabled, a new option Enable Deal Auto Expiration is available for deal types (or in general deal settings, if you're not using deal types). Add a number of days, up to 730.
Notes
- The deal expiry option is enabled with the App Setting Enable Deal Auto Expiry. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if you want to manage deals in this way.
- Expiry is applied to pending deals only - deals that you've approved or rejected won't expire under this rule.
- Closed deals (at stage Closed Won or Closed Lost) won't expire under this rule.
02 Nov - Updates to Data Hygiene, customizable Multimedia in portal,
and Email Authentication
- Updates to Supplier Email Opt-In Configuration in Data Hygiene
- Expandable text fields in Multimedia personalization
- Missing/failed SPF check no longer blocks a From email address
- General improvements and bug fixes
Updates to Supplier Email Opt-In Configuration in Data Hygiene
We've added some requested useability improvements to the Enable / Disable Supplier Emails area of the Data Hygiene tool.
- The option is now restricted to internal Unifyr logins only
-
There's a new Email Opt In filter and column based on the current opt-in setting for each partner user
-
Actions are logged in the Data Hygiene audit log
Each event indicates what action was taken (optin / Enable or optout / Disable), and by whom.
Expandable text fields in Multimedia personalization
When a partner user is customizing PDFs you've provided, sometimes the fields you include need a long entry. The user can now expand text fields so they can enter the text they need, and see what they've written. Clicking the new Edit icon presents the field in a popup window.
Missing/failed SPF check no longer blocks a From email address
We always recommend that suppliers and partners authenticate their From email address with SPF/DKIM/DMARC protocols to ensure that emails are not classed as spam by email providers. Sometimes this is not possible due to internal corporate processes - with this release, SPF authentication is now recommended, not required.
For more information about email authentication, see Authenticating the From Address for Emails.
Note
We do advocate the inclusion of SPF entries if it is possible to do so.
26 Oct - Updates to partner creation and partner impersonation
- Customizable Create Partner form
- Option to hide Leads/Contacts when impersonating a partner
- General improvements and bug fixes
Customizable Create Partner form
We've introduced the option for you, as a supplier, to customize the form that you use to create partner and provider accounts in ZiftONE Admin.
Note
The customizable form needs to be enabled on your system. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if you want to use it.
In > Settings > Forms & Fields > Partner, go to the Forms tab in the left sidebar. Choose Partner Registration Admin (ZiftONE).
(note that the form for partners to register via the portal is now named Partner Registration Portal)
You can edit the form as usual - changing the name, specifying the data fields (core and custom partner fields) that are included, and setting required/read-only/display conditions.
Once you've saved the form, the form is presented for the Partner Details step of the Create Partner action in ZiftONE Admin.
For more information, see Form Configuration and Creating a Partner Account.
Option to hide Leads/Contacts when impersonating a partner
We've introduced the option for suppliers not to have access to a partner's lead and contact data when they're impersonating into their account. This removes the risk of violating GDPR when viewing the partner account.
Note
Visibility of leads/contacts is disabled with the new App Setting Hide Contacts and Leads when impersonating. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if you want to set it.
While impersonating a partner with the setting enabled, a supplier won't see these areas of the partner account:
- Contacts
- Leads
- Distributed Leads
- Registered Leads
- Leads within a Campaign activation
19 Oct -
Preview of new Unifyr One brand
As part of our recent rebrand from ZiftONE to Unifyr One, we're introducing the new look Unifyr One Admin.
On the login screen, you'll see an option to preview the new UI.
Once logged in, there's a toggle in the Settings area - go to > Use Unifyr One Branding. Here you can switch between the old and the new experiences. Switching only affects your session, not that of your colleagues.
Features haven't changed, so your bookmarks and logins will continue to work as before.
We're presenting the new UI in Public Preview mode, so we welcome your feedback as we continue the refresh. Send any comments to product@unifyr.com.
19 Oct -
2-Factor Authentication (2FA) for partner portal login
We’ve introduced a 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) option for our partner portals. If the option is enabled, a user logging in to the portal will receive a One-Time Passcode (OTP) by email when they’ve successfully entered their username and password. They can then enter this code to verify their identity and continue with login.
If they check the Remember me on this device option, the code, once successfully used, will remain valid. They won’t need to authenticate again.
Notes about 2FA
2FA is enabled/disabled with the App Setting Enable Unifyr Two Factor Authentication. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if you'd like to have it implemented.
2FA is incompatible with SSO. We can’t implement 2FA for you if you already have an SSO-based login scenario.
19 Oct - Updates to Partner Support options and ZiftONE Admin
Users list
- Configurable support address for the logged out portal page
- Filter for SSO Only users of ZiftONE Admin
- Ability to select and copy Partner Name
- General improvements and bug fixes
Configurable support address for the logged out portal page
We've added the option for suppliers to set up an email address for their logged out support page, if they provide one in the portal. This means you can use different email addresses for the Contact Support option for partners, depending on whether it's being accessed from a Logged In or Logged Out view.
Note
The email address for the logged out support page is configured with the new App Setting Logged out Support Page Email. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if you want to set it.
The logged out support page defaults to your standard configured partner support email if the App Setting doesn't have a value.
For information about providing a support option for logged out users, see Adding a Support Ticket Form to a Logged Out Portal View.
Filter for SSO Only users of ZiftONE Admin
The Users listing in ZiftONE Admin, from > Settings > Users, can now be filtered to show/hide SSO Only users.
Note
This filter is available if your system is set up to allow SSO Only users (has the App Setting Enable SSO Only Users in ZiftOne enabled).
Ability to select and copy Partner Name
You can now highlight and copy the partner name in a partner account. This makes it easier to use elsewhere.
12 Oct - Updates to Social Media, Collateral, and Data Hygiene
- Expire option for Library Social Posts
- Tracking of asset downloads from "Copy to Clipboard" links
- Use Data Hygiene to set or unset Supplier Emails opt-in in bulk
- General improvements and bug fixes
Expire option for Library Social Posts
We've added the option for you to set an expiry date for your library social posts, so they're automatically removed from the partner portal if they're out of date.
Previously you had to manually archive and delete posts to remove them.
You can set the Post Expiration Date when creating or editing a Social Post of types Library Social Post or Both.
Note
Social Post expiry is enabled/disabled with the App Setting Enable Library Social Posts to expire. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if you want to use it.
These changes support the expiry of posts:
- An Expired filter is provided in the Social Posts page in ZiftONE Admin, to allow you to find expired posts, or those that are about to expire
- Expired posts can't be added to campaigns
- A campaign activation will only include an expired post if the campaign was activated before the post expired
- Expired posts no longer appear in the Library Posts page in the partner portal
Tracking of asset downloads from Copy to Clipboard links
Downloads of collateral assets that have been distributed from the portal Collateral Library via the Copy Link to Clipboard action are now tracked for reporting.
Use Data Hygiene to set or unset Supplier Emails opt-in in bulk
Note
This is an internal release note. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team for guidance and assistance with setting partners' opt-in status in bulk - they need to do it for you.
We've added a new option to the Data Hygiene tool, which allows the bulk enabling / disabling of partners' opt-in for supplier emails.
In the Partner Users tab, select the users, click … and choose Turn Supplier Emails On or Turn Supplier Emails Off.
This will activate/deactivate Notifications > Supplier Emails in the partner user's account. You can track the setting in ZiftONE Admin - for more information, see Viewing Partners' Email Opt-in Status.
05 Oct - Updates to Automations, Custom Pages, and marketing Emails
- Event Source for Automations
- Rename of Deal Created event for Automations
- Partner Account Manager merge fields for Custom Pages
- Send Test option for Marketing Emails
- General improvements and bug fixes
Event Source for Automations
When using Automations to send emails triggered by events, you can now differentiate between events triggered in the partner portal and those carried out by your users in ZiftONE Admin.
The Create Automation form (from > Settings > System Messaging > Automations) has a new dropdown called Event Source. These values are accepted:
- Partner Portal
- Supplier Admin
- Both Portal and Admin (default)
The field is required but the default value means that you do not need to update your existing Automations, unless you want to change their configuration.
Rename of Deal Created event for Automations
For Automations, we've renamed the Deal Created event to Deal Submitted. This change more accurately reflects the event, as it is triggered when a deal is submitted from the portal by a partner.
Partner Account Manager merge fields for Custom Pages
You can now include a partner's Account Manager information in custom page content. You can use merge tags that will populate this information:
- Name
- Mobile Phone
- Work Phone
The merge tags pick up the information from the user defined in the Account Manager field in a partner's profile.
Send Test option for Marketing Emails
We've added a Send Test option for marketing emails. When you're creating/updating your emails, you can click the button to send the email to a specified address and validate its content.
Choose a partner for the test to verify that any per-partner personalization (via merge tags) is populated in the send.
28 Sep - Updates to Collateral Programs listing, Partner
export, MDF, Automations, and portal login
- Updated Collateral Programs listing
- Primary Address data included in Partner export
- Fields added to Column Config for MDF Transactions listing
- Support for MDF merge tags in Automations
- Limit MDF Transaction Types in ZiftONE Admin
- Improved message for deactivated portal users
- General improvements and bug fixes
Updated Collateral Programs listing
We've updated the display of the Collateral Programs listing (Library Content > Collateral Programs) in ZiftONE Admin, to bring it in line with other listings, and provide better search, sort and filter options.
We've made these changes:
-
Listing organized as a table, with columns of information about each Collateral Program - name (Internal Name), campaigns in which it's included, current status, number of assets in the program, create date, and expiry date
You can sort the list by Internal Name, Created or Expiration Date, by clicking the sort arrows at the top of the column.
-
Search bar
-
Filter options - based on publish/archive status, expiry status, create date and your content tags (of type Marketing Activities)
-
Renamed New Collateral Program to Create Collateral Program
The Create New Collateral Program and Collateral Program Details pages haven't changed.
For more information about Collateral Programs, see Manage Collateral Programs.
Primary Address data included in Partner export
Primary Address fields (Address1, Address2, City, State, Country, Zip/Postal, Phone, Fax) are now included in the output file when you export a list of partners from these areas:
- Partner Explorer
- A Partner Group
Fields added to Column Config for MDF Transactions listing
We've made these extra fields available for display as columns in the Transactions page (Partner Management > MDF Transactions):
- Created (date)
- Updated (date)
- Source
Support for MDF merge tags in Automations
You can now use merge tags representing MDF data when you're creating an Automation email based on the MDF Transaction Submitted event.
They're available here:
-
In Add Merge Tags when writing the email subject
-
In the Custom Emails template if you're using one to format the email body
This option is available if you choose MDF in the Object field when creating the email template (new).
For more information, see:
Limit MDF Transaction Types in ZiftONE Admin
You now have the option to choose which types of MDF transaction (Pre-approval and/or Claim) you want your users to create on behalf of partners in ZiftONE Admin.
The types you choose are available for selection in these areas:
-
The Create Transaction form
-
In form configuration for the Admin MDF Claim/Pre-Approval Form, for example when creating display conditions based on transaction type
Notes
Types are enabled/disabled with App Settings Enable Create Pre-Approval and Enable Create Claim. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if you'd like to have one or both implemented.
These settings previously applied to transactions raised in the partner portal only, now they apply to both ZiftONE Admin and portal forms.
Improved message for deactivated portal users
We've improved the message shown to partners who try to log in to the partner portal when their account has been deactivated.
21 Sep - Updates to custom Partner fields, MDF Transactions list,
Collateral, Deals, and Analytics
- File and Date field type support for custom Partner fields
- Sort MDF Transactions list by Status and Status Date
- Removal of options for sharing Prevent Sharing assets from browser
- Option to disable Request New Account on deals
- New Welcome Emails report
- General improvements and bug fixes
File and Date field type support for custom Partner fields
We've added new field types for custom Partner fields - File and Date. If included in a partner form, fields of these types allow a greater flexibility of data when users complete it:
- File - users can attach a file. They can enter the URL to the file, or browse for it from their desktop.
- Date - users can include a date. The user can use the calendar picker to select the date and add it in the required format.
Sort MDF Transactions list by Status and Status Date
When you're viewing the list of MDF transactions (pre-approvals and claims) submitted by you and your partners in ZiftONE Admin, you can now sort the list by Status and Status Date.
Use the icon at the top of each column to sort by those values.
Removal of options for sharing Prevent Sharing assets from browser
The Prevent Sharing option for collateral assets gates viewing to users who are logged into the partner portal, and provides a link that is only valid for 5 minutes.
This prevents the user from distributing the asset. We've now removed a loophole from this process that allowed portal users to download and distribute these secure assets when they were open in their browser (with right-click, etc.).
Option to disable Request New Account on deals
You now have the option to disable the Request New Account option provided to partners when they're registering deals in the portal.
Notes
- This is enabled with the App Setting Hide Request New Account. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if you'd like to have it implemented.
- If this new setting is disabled (i.e. you're allowing partners to request accounts), the Request New Account button will appear if you've configured the Create Deal form to include it. For more information, see Enabling Account Requests in Deal Forms.
New Welcome Emails report
We've added a new report that details the welcome emails that have been sent to your partners, and whether they've been opened or not.
In ZiftONE Admin, navigate to Analytics & Reports and use the Browse Reports option to find Welcome Emails Report.
14 Sep -
PDF Deal Quotes with Create your Own Templates
ZiftONE already supports the generation/download of PDF quotes from a deal in the partner portal. The feature uses the information in the deal (referenced via merge tags in the relevant quote template) to generate a quote to the partner when they click a Download Quote button.
The option to use Deal Quotes has now been enabled for all systems.
Note
The Download Quote option is available for deals that have an associated account.
Suppliers can now provide their own custom templates for the PDF - for example, to add additional text, terms and conditions, or a supplier logo.
In > Settings> Templates, go to the new Deal Quotes tab in the left sidebar.
Use Create Template to create your own custom Quote template.
You can provide custom content via WYSIWYG page/email builder (powered by Beefree).
-
Default content is provided - from the global Quote template
Note
Your ZiftONE team can manage a global template for you. This can be used to generate quotes in the portal if you don’t create your own.
- A placeholder for an autogenerated partner logo is included.
- You can use merge tags (placeholders) to include for Deal, Deal Line Item, Account, Partner, or Partner User data, and Today’s Date
You can link your custom quote templates to your deal registration process:
-
Link a template to a specific Deal Type
-
Specify a custom quote template in the general Deal Settings, if you’re not using Deal Types
When partners are viewing a deal in the portal, they can click Download Quote if:
- a quote template is available for the deal type (or for all deals)
- the deal is linked to an account
The PDF is generated for download:
14 Sep - Updates to Automations, Deal Registration, and bulk
user actions
- Restrict deal Automations to specific deal types
- Stop Deals being registered with past dates
- Indication of failed bulk user actions
- General improvements and bug fixes
Restrict deal Automations to specific deal types
We've added an extra option to use when you're configuring Automation workflows for deals. You can now choose to send automated notifications only when deals of a certain type are updated.
In > Settings > System Messaging > Automations, you can now choose a Deal Type when creating an automation triggered by any of these events:
- Deal Approved
- Deal Created
- Deal Expired
- Deal Rejected
- Deal Updated
Stop Deals being registered with past dates
We've introduced the option for suppliers to prevent partners from setting an Estimated Close Date that's in the past when registering a deal.
The user will see a warning if they try to add a past date.
Note
This is enabled with the App Setting Disable New Deal Close Dates in the Past (Portal). Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if you'd like to have it implemented.
Indication of failed bulk user actions
Previously, bulk jobs in ZiftONE Admin and in partner portals, such as export of leads or bulk update of collateral assets, were marked as In Progress for several hours when they had actually failed. This gave an incorrect impression that the job was continuing.
Now, a job will show an error message as soon as it fails. The user can then try the job again.
07 Sep -
Custom Fields and Forms for Deal Line Items
We’ve made some additions that allow you to control how line item data is collected and displayed for deals:
- Custom Deal Line Item fields
- Custom forms for Deal Line Item data collection
- Configurable display of Line Item information in deal records
Custom Deal Line Item fields
We’ve introduced the option for you to define custom fields representing deal line item data, such as size, SKU, color, part number, installation date, etc.
Go to > Settings > Forms & Fields > Deal Line Item and choose Custom Fields in the left sidebar.
Standard custom field configuration options apply for these fields:
- All custom field data types - Text, Text Area, Number, Date, Checkbox, Radio, Select, Multiselect
- Tool Tip and Help Text
- Data Validation
- Default Value
Custom forms for Deal Line Item data collection
We’ve introduced new forms that allow you to configure how you want line item data to be collected in deals:
-
Deal Line Item Admin (for ZiftONE Admin/suppliers)
-
Deal Line Item Default (for Partner Portal/partners)
You can configure the forms as usual - changing the name, specifying the data fields (your custom deal line item contact fields + the standard fields Product, Quantity, Total Price, and Description) that are included, and setting required/read-only/display conditions.
If you want to only include the use of a deal line item field for certain Deal Types or Pricebooks, you can do that with a display condition.
The standard fields accept various levels of customization:
- Product and Quantity are always required, and can't be removed - you can rename them though.
- Total Price is always read-only
- Description can be managed as usual
Configurable display of Line Item information in deal records
When Deal Line Item information appears in deals, the columns included in the Deal Line Items table can now be configured. You select the data fields to be shown in the table, when your partners view their deals in the portal.
Use the Deal Line Item Portal Listing area in either of these places, depending on your deal configuration setup:
- For individual Deal Types
- In general Deal Settings, if you’re not using Deal Types
Deals with line items will show the column arrangement in the portal:
07 Sep - Updates to Deals, Accounts, and MDF Transactions in portal
- Approval status shown in Deal record
- Support for custom SFDC URL in Deals and Accounts
- Export MDF Transactions in portal
- General improvements and bug fixes
Approval status shown in Deal record
When you, as a supplier, have approved, rejected or expired a deal, the Status and date are added to the information section of the Deal details page in ZiftONE Admin.
Support for custom SFDC URL in Deals and Accounts
We've introduced the option for suppliers to use their custom Salesforce domain/URL (instead of the standard login.salesforce.com) in links in these records:
- Deal record - View in Salesforce links to deal and associated account
- Account record - the Edit in SFDC link
Notes
- URL/links apply for deals where Source = SFDC
- This is enabled with the App Setting Custom SalesForce URL. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if you'd like to have it implemented.
Export MDF Transactions in portal
Your partners now have the option to export a list of their MDF transactions (pre-approvals and claims) from the portal.
They can click the Export button on the Marketing Transactions page, to generate and download a CSV file.
The exported file includes these standard deal fields: Submitter, Name, Source (portal or supplier), Type, Notes, Status, Amount, Approved Amount, Pre-Approved Amount, and Claim Response.
Plus any custom deal fields that are included in the portal form (Claim/Pre-Approval Request for Partner Portal).
31 Aug - Updates to Permissions, Provider management, Collateral,
Partner Export, Automations, and Leads and Deals in portal
- Changes to permissions for Custom Objects
- New permission for creating Partner accounts
- Option to disable creation of Provider users
- Impersonation logins excluded from "Last Login" in Partner Export
- Updates to Deal events for Automations
- Supplier Status information for Leads in portal
- Sales Rep filter for Deals in portal
- General improvements and bug fixes
Changes to permissions for Custom Objects
We've made changes to how access to Custom Objects (custom data types) in ZiftONE Admin is controlled by permission:
- Partner Management > Custom Objects permission - this has been changed to restrict access to the individual submissions/records of an object. Previously it was not possible to control access to this data, which is available in these areas:
- System Management > Forms and Fields permission - controls creation/management of the Custom Objects themselves.
For information about assigning permissions to user roles in ZiftONE Admin, see Managing Permissions for User Roles in ZiftONE Admin.
New permission for creating Partner accounts
We've introduced an explicit permission for creating partners in ZiftONE Admin - previously, the action was bundled under the general Partner Management permission.
With the new Partner Management > Partners permission assigned, a user can create and upload partners. This can be combined with partner data restrictions and conditional rules on the Partner Profile forms to give more supplier users access to ZiftONE Admin.
The permission controls whether the Create Partner and Import/Update Partners actions are available in Partner Explorer. Export actions aren't affected.
Notes
- This permission can only be assigned if the role already has the Partner Management (general) permission. It's assigned by default to all roles that have Partner Management (general).
- If your system has the Disable Create Partners system setting enabled, the permission isn't available. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team to check your entitlement.
Option to disable creation of Provider users
We've added a new system setting that disables the creation and edit of users in a Provider account. Previously, the user management for partner and provider accounts was controlled with the same setting. Now we have these individual settings:
- Disable Add and Manage Partner User
- Disable Add and Manage Provider User
Note
These are App Settings and need to be enabled/disabled by your ZiftONE team. Submit a request if you want to implement them.
Impersonation logins excluded from Last Login in Partner Export
When exporting partner data from Partner Explorer, a Last Login date is included. This date now only records the last true partner portal login, and excludes impersonation logins.
Updates to Deal events for Automations
We've clarified the use of deal events for Automation workflows. Previously, these events were firing when deals were still in draft state:
- Deal Created - This event is now triggered when a new deal is submitted on the portal, and set to Pending.
- Deal Updated (Stage and Value) - This event does not trigger automations while the deal remains in draft mode.
Supplier Status information for Registered Leads in portal
We've made it easier for partners to view the supplier registration/approval status of their registered leads in the portal:
-
A new Supplier Status filter is available on the Registered Leads page:
-
Supplier Status values are color coded to give an instant visual indicator:
Red for Rejected and Expired, green for Accepted, and brown for Pending.
Sales Rep filter for Deals in portal
Your partners can now filter their deals by assigned sales rep - we've added a new Sales Rep filter to the Deals page:
The dropdown selection list shows sales reps that have deals assigned to them.
24 Aug - Updates to Lead upload, and App Connector support
- All core fields supported in Distributed Leads upload
- Deprecation of Hootsuite and Pardot support
- General improvements and bug fixes
All core fields supported in Distributed Leads upload
When you import a list of Leads into ZiftONE Admin, all core lead fields are now recognized. Previously, some fields (Website, Industry, Annual Revenue, and Number of Employees) were missing and had to be manually mapped.
Deprecation of Hootsuite and Pardot support
Due to low/no usage of the apps, we no longer offer Hootsuite and Pardot as App Connectors on the portal.
Integration with HubSpot is still supported.
18 Aug -
Create your own Custom Emails and Landing Pages
We’ve introduced the option for you to design and build your own marketing (syndicated) emails and landing pages, without having to use default templates that can’t be customized, or rely on our Services team to create new templates on your behalf.
Landing pages are new objects in ZiftONE - they’re a specific type of website plugin that are linked from an email. For example, provide a Download button in your email, which takes the recipient to a landing page with a contact form.
The pages in which you create those items have had a refresh too, to make the whole process a lot simpler! Configuration pages include a WYSIWYG Page Editor, powered by BeeFree. You'll recognize the editor, as it's already in place for custom pages, TPC emails, etc.
Note
Any existing emails from templates can still be used.
All emails are still employed in the same way - as standalone communications, as a tactic in a campaign, etc.
Partners still activate and personalize the emails in the portal, and they now have the WYSIWYG BeeFree Editor too. They may also have some new steps if you’ve associated a landing page and other pages, for example a confirmation of submission of a form.
Emails are still managed in the Partner Marketing > Emails page. In this page, you can:
- Create a new email
- No reliance on templates, although you can select a template if required
- A whole new set of templates, if you choose to to use one when creating the content of the email:
- Templates from the BeeFree library
- Common templates provided by ZiftONE
- Your own saved templates
- Support for legacy templates

- A WYSIWYG Page Editor is provided
- User can update the logo, even if it’s dynamically generated
- Advice of content areas that have been locked by you
- Customize the contact / lead capture form
- Access to any associated landing page for edit, if working on an email
- Preview personalized emails and landing pages
Tracking of activity and engagement from emails (opens, click throughs, contact form submission, etc.) is handled in the same way as it is currently in ZiftONE Admin.

Updated feedback mechanism for AI-generated content
We've updated the feedback options for AI-generated responses and content in ZiftONE Admin and in your partner portal. You can already give a thumbs up / thumbs down reaction, but now you can give specific reasons for your opinion:
- Positive feedback - tell us how the response/content was helpful by adding a summary in a free text field (up to 500 characters)
- Negative feedback - provide a reason by choosing a category and adding more information in a free text field (up to 500 characters).
Your feedback is captured, giving ZiftONE insights on how to improve its AI support for you, and helping you to improve your experience.
Feedback mechanisms are now available in these AI-powered areas:
- Portal AI Expert responses
- ZiftONE Admin AI Expert responses
- AI-generated content in ZiftONE Admin:
- Partner overview
- Content for social posts
- Deal account overview
- Confidence/prediction for leads and deals
For more information, see ZiftONE's AI Experts.
Improved visibility of Suggested Prompts in portal AI Expert
If you've provided Suggested Prompts for your partners in the portal AI Expert chat, they may be truncated if they're long. Partners can now hover over a prompt and see the full text.
Allow Social Form for social posts in bulk
If you're providing social media posts for your partners, you can provide a Social Form option. If you enable it, your partners can choose whether to include their social form when they use your social posts. Anyone trying to engage with the content must first provide some contact information.
You can now enable/disable the Social Form option for multiple posts, by using the Bulk Update option.
In the Bulk Update wizard, go to step 4 (now named Post Settings):
Column configuration for Modules page
The LMS Modules page in ZiftONE Admin (Partner Management > Learning Management > Modules) now includes a column display option . Click the icon to access the Column Configuration window, where you can add/remove the columns in the page display, and drag and drop them into the required order.
Sort Partner Users by last login date
We've added sorting to the Last Login column in the Users list of a partner account. Use the icon to sort the users by last login date, in ascending or descending order.
Create form display conditions based on Supplier User Roles
When you're configuring supplier forms for use in ZiftONE Admin, and adding display and read-only conditions for fields, you now have the option to base the display rules on Supplier User Roles. This allows you to prevent certain users from viewing/editing fields.
The values are available in ZiftONE Admin forms for these objects:
- Partner
- Partner User
- Deal
- Account
- MDF
- Custom Objects
Updated Lead handling in portal
We've made some changes to lead display and handling in the partner portal, to help partners easily find and work on their current, active leads:
-
If you've rejected a lead, or it's expired, the partner no longer sees buttons to update it, assign it, or create a deal
-
We've added a new Status (approval status) column to the Registered Leads listing, so partners can sort the list
-
The Lead Stage filter in the Leads listing pages now filters out qualified and unqualified leads as a default
10 Aug -
AI Sources
As a default, ZiftONE’s AI model is based on marketing content that you provide for partners - collateral, campaigns, custom pages, posts, emails, etc. You can augment the model yourself, by uploading any other document you think will empower the AI-enabled features to assist, analyze, and answer more accurately. For example, you may have terms/definitions documents or FAQ sheets that include additional information that isn’t published to partners in the portal.
Upload your additional AI sources in > Settings > AI Settings > Sources (if you've opted in to the ZiftONE Admin AI Expert).
Use the Import option to pull in files, and set their availability.
Text-based files are accepted, with a maximum size of 250MB.
The sources will be added to your AI knowledgebase, which means the ZiftONE Admin and portal AI Experts can use them.
Once you have sources uploaded, you can make changes to their assigned tags, partner group filters, and status using the Bulk Update option.
For more information, see AI Sources.

For more information, see Managing MDF Settings.
In the new MDF Statuses page in > Settings > Forms and Fields > MDF:
- View the list of configured statuses for the MDF transaction approval workflow
-
Rename any of the statuses as required
For more information, see Customizing MDF Transaction Statuses.
NEW Configurable supplier form for MDF Transactions
You, as a supplier, can now customize a transaction form for use by your users in ZiftONE Admin (previously, you could only manage a form for submissions by partners in the portal).
In > Settings > Forms & Fields > MDF, go to the Forms tab in the left sidebar. You’ll see the new form Admin MDF Claim/Pre-Approval Form.
You have these options for managing the form:
- Specifying the data fields (core and custom MDF fields) that are included
-
Setting required/read-only/display conditions for fields
You’ll use this form to raise claims/pre-approvals on behalf of your partners in ZiftONE Admin.
Updated Transactions page
We’ve updated the page in which you view transactions (pre-approvals and clams) submitted by you and your partners in ZiftONE Admin. It’s now based on on the standard ZiftONE page format, with search box and filter options based on Status Date, Status, Partner and custom MDF data fields (see More).
Go to Partner Management > MDF > Transactions.
You can also manage the columns you see in the listing, with the Column Configuration option.
There are new columns of information available:
- Pre-approved Amount
- Approved Amount
Advanced Filters - Use advanced filters to obtain a list of transactions that meet specific criteria. You can filter by Partner, Partner Activity, Embedded Access Apps, Campaign Activity, and CRM Integrations.
Export - You can export a list of all transactions from this page - each record now includes all data fields configured for the transaction, including any custom MDF fields.
Create Transaction - Create a new pre-approval or claim here.
For more information, see Manage Transactions.
Updated details page for Transactions + edit capability
You’ll also see a new style details page for an individual transaction.
Suppliers can edit this information:
- Pre-Approval/Claim Information, i.e. partner, transaction name, amount, notes, custom data included in the new ZiftONE Admin MDF form
-
Pre-Approval/Claim Status, i.e. status, pre-approved amount, approved amount, response
Suppliers can edit status information if they haven’t got Fund Types enabled.
Notes about editing transactions:
- These values can’t be changed:
- Transaction Type
- Source
- Can I change the partner information as a supplier?
- If the transaction was submitted by a partner in the portal - no
- If the transaction was submitted by the supplier in ZiftONE Admin - yes
Improvements in Partner Portal UI
We’ve made it easier for partner to view/manage their pre-approvals and claims in the partner portal.
-
Wallet icon
in their portal toolbar, if they are in a partner group that you have defined as using MDF
Clicking the icon takes them to the Marketing Transactions page (ensure this is provided in your portal site navigation), where they can create and progress their MDF pre-approvals and claims.
-
Quick visibility of Pre-approval and Approved amounts for their transactions
-
If you’ve enabled it, a full page option for pre-approval/claim creation
As well as making the transaction easier to navigate, a partner can upload attachments to the transaction from this view.
If you’re providing the popup modal option, the form hasn’t changed.
Other improvements
There’s some other handy new features that help you manage your MDF data in ZiftONE Admin:
03 Aug - Updates to Deal Registration, Social Media area, and AI Expert
in portal
- Sales Rep field for supplier deal registration form
- Change to default view of Social Media
- Auto-generated conversation title in Portal AI Expert
- General improvements and bug fixes
Sales Rep field for supplier deal registration form
If you include the Sales Rep field in the ZiftONE Admin deal creation form (for suppliers to register deals on behalf of their partners), you can now use it yourself to assign a partner contact/sales rep to a deal when you create it. Previously the field was automatically set to the partner's default sales rep when the deal was created, but the partner could use it to assign-reassign the deal.
In > Settings > Forms & Fields > Deal > Forms, add the Sales Rep field to the Deal Registration Admin form:
Then, when creating a deal, use the Sales Rep field to pick one of the sales reps configured for the partner.
Change to default view of Social Media
Based on user feedback, we've made a usability improvement to the Social Media area in ZiftONE Admin - clicking Partner Marketing > Social Media now takes you to the Social Posts page, where you can view a list of posts. Previously you landed on the Weekly View calendar.
Auto-generated conversation title in Portal AI Expert
We've made a usability improvement to the Portal AI Expert - now, when a partner starts a new conversation with the Expert, it generates a logical title for the conversation based on the first prompt. This makes it much easier for partners to navigate their list of their existing conversations later.
This applies to conversations started both manually and via the Create Email / Create Social Post actions.
27 Jul - Updates to Leads, Partner User records, Portal Posts,
Welcome Email templates, Form Configuration, Data Hygiene,
Portal AI Expert, and BI for Campaigns
- Collate comments from Lead Stage updates
- Move of action buttons in Partner User records
- Merge tags available for Portal Posts
- Merge tags for Partner User data available for Welcome Emails
- Internal field names shown in form builder
- Content Type filter for Collateral in Data Hygiene
- New introductory text for Portal AI Expert
- Updates to Campaign reporting
- General improvements and bug fixes
Collate comments from Lead stage updates
As an update to the configurable lead Stage Change form we introduced last week, we've added the option to include a field in the form and specify that the lead record should show a collated view of the value the field is given every time a partner changes the status of a lead. With this option, you can include a comment trail on leads to track the background of its progress through the buyer journey.
To configure, set the Append to existing value property for a custom field of type Text Area in the form.
The user can add a value for the field when they update the lead stage:
If you also add the field to the Lead Contact form ( > Settings > Forms & Fields > Lead > Contact > Forms > Lead Contact), the values are shown in the lead record in the portal, each on a new line:
Move of action buttons in Partner User records
We've changed the navigation in partner user records in Partner Explorer. After introducing tabs for custom user data forms (click here for more information), we've moved the action buttons to a ... menu to keep the navigation uncluttered.
These buttons are moved to the menu:
- Send Welcome Email / Send Password Reset Email
- Onboarding Progress
- Deactivate / Reactivate User
- Delete User
Merge tags available for Portal Posts
You can now include merge tags (placeholders) that represent core and custom data fields when you're configuring Portal Post content in Partner Portal > Posts.
These fields are supported: First Name, Last Name, (Partner) Company Name, Email Address, MDF Fund Balance, Current Year, Today's Date, Partner ID, SSO Company ID, Partner External ID, SSO User ID, User External ID, and supplier-specific custom fields (for Partner and Partner User data).
Merge tags for Partner User data available for Welcome Emails
You can now include merge tags (placeholders) that represent custom Partner User data fields when you're configuring a Welcome Email template in > Settings > System Messaging > Welcome Emails.
They're prefixed with Partner User.
Internal field names shown in form builder
We've made a usability improvement to the ZiftONE Admin form builder - you can now see the Display Name and the Internal Name when you're adding fields. This makes it easier for you identify specific fields.
Content Type filter for Collateral in Data Hygiene
We've added a new filter to the Collateral page of the Data Hygiene tool - Content Type. You can use the filter to help you find and delete assets of a particular type.
New introductory text for Portal AI Expert
The Portal AI Expert has had a small update, with some new introductory text that gives partners guidance on how it can help them.
Updates to Campaign reporting
We've made some improvements to the BI data captured for campaigns:
- Print media (PM) statistics are no longer reported against all the campaigns that include a customizable PDF. Now, statistics are captured for each campaign activation.
- If an asset is reused across more than one campaign, its PM statistics are no longer double counted.
- We now report statistics for assets that are currently, were historically, or are partner-added, parts of the supplier campaign. Previously, we only reported PM, Social, and Email campaign statistics against assets that are currently part of the supplier campaign.
20 Jul - Updates to Leads, Site Configuration, Collateral Library,
Locators, and Data Hygiene
- New configurable Status Change form for Leads
- Language definition for custom Site Views
- New filter for Collateral Library
- Additional contact information for Locator cards
- Improvements to Data Hygiene
- Filtering on custom fields for Distributed Leads
- Reminder: SPF/DKIM validation for partner email addresses
- General improvements and bug fixes
New configurable Status Change form for Leads
We've added a new Lead Stage Change form to ZiftONE Admin, which you can configure. The form allows you to collect additional custom information when partners update a lead's stage in the partner portal.
Note
You may need to have this form published on your behalf. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if it's not visible in your portal once you've set it up.
In > Settings > Forms & Fields > Lead > Contact, go to the Forms tab in the left sidebar. You'll see the new Stage Change form.
You can edit the form as usual - changing the name, specifying the data fields (your custom lead contact fields + Lead Stage and Qualification Type) that are included, and setting required/read-only/display conditions.
Lead Status and Qualification Type are system fields and can't be removed - you can rename them though.
The form will be presented to partners for completion when they use the Update Stage option for a lead in the portal.
Language definition for custom Site Views
We've added the option for you to restrict which languages are supported with a custom view of your partner portal. This allows you to use views to set up separate portals for the different regions in your partner network, and reduces the overhead required to provide localized content to your partners.
In Partner Portal > Site Configuration > Custom Partner Views, choose the view whose language support you want to configure.
Use the Edit icon to open the View Details window.
In View Languages, choose the language you want this view to support. The list displays those languages that you've defined in general Site Settings. For more information, see Managing Site Details.
English is always included.
The selection you make here defines the Language dropdown a partner has in their partner portal. If you don't make a selection for a specific view, partners will be able to choose any of the languages defined in Site Settings.
New filter for Collateral Library
We've added a column and filter to the Collateral Library pages in ZiftONE Admin, which allow you to see whether your assets have partner group filters configured.
The icon indicates that an asset has filters.
You may need to click More to access the filter.
You can update the page view to add/remove the column with the Column Configuration button .
Additional contact information for Locator cards
You now have the option to include more contact information fields in a partner/provider's card in a locator. These fields from the Partner Profile can now be shown:
- Phone Number
- Social Links
- Website URL
Improvements to Data Hygiene
We've made some usability improvements to the Data Hygiene page:
- Items are now listed in pages of 100, increased from 25. This makes deleting a lot of items easier, as it requires fewer batch actions.
- You can now enter a comma separated list of up to 25 IDs into the search box, allowing you to find multiple items in one go.
Filtering on custom fields for Distributed Leads
We've added filters based on your custom lead contact fields to the Distributed Leads listing page that you can provide for your partners in the portal. The additional filters will help your partners to quickly find their leads.
Notes:
- Filters are based on the custom fields that are included in the Lead Contact form.
- Fields of type checkbox, radio, select, multiselect from the form are shown as filters.
- Custom contact fields set up by the partner aren't shown as filters, as they can only be text, number or date & time format.
Reminder: SPF/DKIM/DMARC validation for partner email addresses
We strongly recommend that partners authenticate their email domain with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC via their DNS provider, to ensure their marketing emails are safely received and read by their recipients.
We've added a note to the Company Profile area of the partner portal to remind users of the importance of this configuration. The message includes a link to the instructions in our academy.

Custom Partner User forms for ZiftONE Admin
You, as a supplier, can now create and configure your own partner user forms for use in ZiftONE Admin (previously, you could only create them for data entry in the portal). This allows you to capture the data you want about your partners' users, categorize it, and easily manage it from a centralized location.
You can create multiple forms - if you do, they are presented as individual tabs in a user's profile, in addition to the default Partner User Profile form.
In > Settings > Forms & Fields > Partner User, go to the Forms tab in the left sidebar. When you create a new form here, you can now choose ZiftONE as the type.
You can create and edit a form as usual - changing the name, specifying the data fields (core and custom partner user fields) that are included, and setting required/read-only/display conditions.
Once you've saved the form, go to a user's profile to view it, and manage their data as required:
For more information, see Creating a Custom Form for ZiftONE Admin.
13 Jul - Updates to Partner User profile, Leads, ZiftONE Admin Users,
and Contacts and Leads pages in portal
- Configurable Partner User profile
- Rename of Lead Status to Lead Stage
- Custom Lead Stages
- Filtering on custom fields for Contacts
- Updated custom field filters for Leads
- Manage account impersonation options in ZiftONE Admin
- General improvements and bug fixes
Configurable Partner User profile
ZiftONE Admin includes a profile area for each user in a partner account, which displays the information you hold about the user. It's now possible to customize the area, to ensure you capture the information you want, and control how it's provided/edited.
These new options are available:
- Add / remove fields from the profile, including custom fields
- Define display conditions for fields
- Specify whether a field is editable or read-only
To customize the partner profile, go to > Settings > Forms & Fields > Partner User > Forms, and choose the Partner User Profile (ZiftONE) form. The UI should be familiar, as it's the same as the one you use to configure other forms.
For more information, see Form Configuration.
The form is displayed in a new tab in the user profile area - Partner User Profile. There will also be tabs for any custom partner forms you create (also new in this release, see the release notes here)
Rename of Lead Status to Lead Stage
We've renamed the lead property Lead Status to Lead Stage in this release. This should clarify the difference between the lead's current position in the buying journey (Lead Stage), and the status of its approval/acceptance following distribution or registration (Distribution Status / Registration Status, shown as Status in lead details).
Partners will now see Lead Stage in the portal too:
Every area that uses the old Lead Status field has been updated to use the new Lead Stage field. You do not need to take any further action to update lead forms, lead routing rules/workflows, CRM integrations, data funnels, etc.
Custom Lead Stages
You can now configure custom lead statuses (now named Lead Stages). This will support you in accurately tracking and managing leads through your company's specific sales process.
Create your custom Lead Stages here: > Settings > Forms & Fields > Lead > Register. Click on the Stages tab in the left sidebar.
The core stages still exist, and you can update these as shown below:
- New - rename
- Contacted - rename, delete
- Nurture - rename, delete
- Qualified - rename
- Unqualified/Invalid - rename
These custom stages will be available when your partners work their leads in the partner portal:
Custom Stages apply to all lead types: Marketing, Distributed, Registered, and Locator leads.
Custom Lead Stages can be translated.
Filtering on custom fields for Contacts
We've added filters based on custom lead fields to the Contacts listing page that you can provide for your partners in the portal. The additional filters will help your partners to quickly find their contacts.
Notes:
- Filters are based on the custom fields that are included in the Lead Contact form.
- Fields of type Checkbox, Radio, Select, and Multiselect from the form are shown as filters.
- Custom contact fields set up by the partner aren't shown as filters, as they can only be Text, Number or Date & Time format.
Updated custom field filters for Registered Leads
We've updated the filtering we provide in the Registered Leads pages in the partner portal. Now, the filters based on custom Lead fields only show those fields that are included in the active Lead Registration and Lead Contact forms. Previously, all configured custom fields were shown as filters.
Note: only fields of type Checkbox, Radio, Select, and Multiselect from the form are shown as filters.
This new filtering applies to these pages:
- All Leads
- Registered Leads
Manage account impersonation options in ZiftONE Admin
If your ZiftONE team has given you permission to allow your users to impersonate and login to portal as partner users, they can also provide/deny permission for users to export lists of contacts and leads from the portal when they are impersonating someone else.
There are now two options for this permission to export:
- Universal - all ZiftONE Admin users (enabled by your ZiftONE team)
- Single user - if the universal option is disabled, your administrator can approve the permission on a per-user basis.
The ability to assign and manage impersonation rights is granted with these settings in the ZiftONE Admin user's profile (in > Settings > Users):
New Additional Permissions area
- Can Impersonate - enable impersonation
- Enable contacts and leads export while impersonating - if Can Impersonate is enabled, and the universal export permission is disabled, you can set this property to give the user permission to export lists of contacts and leads when they're impersonating another user

Portal AI Expert 2.0
The AI support that you can provide for your partners in the portal has had an upgrade - a fresh new look and some exciting new features!
After clicking the AI icon in the toolbar, the AI Expert chat pops out in a fly-out window, meaning partners can easily view conversations while working in the portal. It now looks much more like the chat window you’re used to in ZiftONE Admin.
The styling of the AI Expert now automatically reflects the styling you’ve configured for the rest of portal in ZiftONE Admin. It uses the Primary Color, Secondary Color, and Brand Logo you’ve specified in Partner Portal > Site Configuration > Settings > Styling. For more information, see Adding Styling to a Site
The Expert provides these areas:
- Any suggested prompts that you’ve provided are shown at the bottom of the window. The partner can use them if required. For more information, see Configuring Suggested Prompts for the Portal AI Expert.
- Your Message field at the bottom of the window - users can enter a prompt and click the up arrow for a response.
-
Get a list of the 10 most recent conversations, and rejoin one if required
-
Start a new conversation
When a user’s been chatting with the Expert, they can interact with its responses. They can use these actions:
Copy a response to use elsewhere
Regenerate a response, for example if they know that additional content has been made available for searching
Like / Dislike a response, to help the AI Expert learn how to support them better
Create a social post from a response
This is a new feature introduced in this release. You can see release notes for it by clicking here.

AI-Generated Marketing Content for Partners
We’ve introduced AI support for partners who want to create their own marketing content in their portal. They can now ask their portal AI Expert to generate emails and social posts for them, basing the content on collateral assets you provide for them, or on responses in conversations they’re having with the Expert.
If you’ve enabled the AI Expert, and Create Your Own (CYO) content, in your partner portal, partners will see these new options:
- Creating Emails / Social Posts from collateral assets
- Creating Emails / Social Posts from AI Expert responses
Creating Emails / Social Posts from collateral assets
Partners can click on the AI sparkle icon and use any of these actions when viewing collateral in their Browse Collateral page. Each action launches a new conversation with the AI Expert, prompting it to carry out a specific task.
The user can click on the icon for a single asset, or after highlighting multiple assets in the page.
Ask about this asset - asks the AI Expert to summarize the key points covered in the content (name, description, source, effective dates, creator name, etc.)
Create social post - asks the AI Expert to create social post content from the asset’s content, with relevant hashtags and CTA. The user can then use the Create Social Post option to generate, personalise, and schedule the post.
Create email - asks the AI Expert to create email subject line and body content from the asset’s content. The user then has two options for generating the email itself:
- Create Simple Email - creates a campaign with a text-based email
- Create Email using Template - creates a campaign with an email that is based on one of a set of pre-loaded templates. The user can also ask AI to also generate the template for them, if required.
Creating Emails / Social Posts from AI Expert responses
When a user has been chatting to the portal AI Expert, they can use these new actions to create a social post or email from the content of the response.
Create a social post from a response
Create an email from a response
Both actions continue the conversation with the AI Expert, giving it a prompt to create engaging content from the information it’s already presented.
For information about enabling the portal AI Expert, see Enabling the AI Experts.

AI-Generated Images in Email Templates
We’ve introduced the option for you to permit AI to generate images when it creates marketing emails on your partners' behalf. Enable AI generated images in > Settings > AI Settings > Advanced Settings:
The option for partners to have AI generate marketing emails for them is also new in this release. See the release notes here.

We've made an update to the Deals listing for partners who work with customer accounts. The Account filter for the listing now only lists accounts for which the partner has deals. Previously, it showed all the accounts to which the user has access, which made it less useful in this context.
New merge tags for App Modules
We've added support for merge tags based on user data to App Modules:
- user.id
- user.email / email
- user.firstname / firstname
- user.lastname / lastname
- user.ssouserid / ssouserid
- z123client.id

Custom Partner forms for ZiftONE Admin
You, as a supplier, can now create and configure your own partner forms for use in ZiftONE Admin (previously, you could only create them for data entry in the portal). This allows you to capture the data you want about your partners, categorize it, and easily manage it from a centralized location.
You can create multiple forms - if you do, they are presented as individual tabs in the Profile area of partner accounts, in addition to the Partner Profile form.
In > Settings > Forms & Fields > Partner, go to the Forms tab in the left sidebar. When you create a new form here, you can now choose ZiftONE as the type.
You can create and edit a form as usual - changing the name, specifying the data fields (core and custom partner fields) that are included, and setting required/read-only/display conditions.
Once you've saved the form, go to the Profile tab of a partner account to view it, and manage the partner's data where required:
For more information, see Creating a Custom Form for ZiftONE Admin.
29 Jun - Updates to training (LMS) content, partners' Co-Selling page,
and Partner Groups
- Bulk updates of training (LMS) content
- Updated Co-Selling page for partner accounts
- Updated Delete and View Usages actions for Partner Groups
- General improvements and bug fixes
Bulk updates of training (LMS) content
We've introduced the option for you to update your LMS content (Modules, Courses, and Certifications) in bulk. This can help reduce the overhead of tagging content, publishing it, and keeping it up to date for your partner audience.
The Bulk Update feature for LMS content will be familiar to you if you already use it in ZiftONE Admin, for example for updating campaigns or collateral.
In Partner Management > Learning Management, go to the Modules, Courses, or Certifications page. Select the items you want to update, then click Bulk Update.
In Bulk Update, you can make these updates to the selected items:
- Add/remove tags
- Manage partner group filters
- Publish to portal (all) and/or Unifyr+ (for Courses and Certifications only)
For more information, see Updating LMS Content in Bulk.
Updated Co-Selling page for partner accounts
We've updated the layout of the Co-Selling page for partner accounts in ZiftONE Admin, where you define co-selling partner groups to specify which of your partners are eligible to work with each other as co-sellers. This change simplifies the page and aligns it more closely with the standard Partner Groups page, so it will be more familiar for you to use.
Note
The Co-Selling feature needs to be enabled on your system. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if you want to use it.
The new style page also provides clearer guidance about the use of the default partner assignment for co-selling, if specific rules are not configured.
-
If you have a default co-selling partner group configured, this is flagged. The Default Co-Selling Group is set by your ZiftONE team, when they enable Co-Selling for you.
-
If a default is not assigned, a partner can co-sell with all partners.
For more information, see Defining your Partner Co-Sellers.
Updated Delete and View Usages actions for Partner Groups
We've clarified the use of the Delete and View Usages actions for Partner Groups, to make it clear when the actions can/can't be used. The actions are always available, and we've added these messages:
- Delete - if the partner group is in use, and can't be deleted, ZiftONE shows the message Cannot delete a Partner Group that is in use.
- View Usages - if the partner group is not is use, ZiftONE shows the message This partner group is not in use.
For more information about Partner Groups, see About Partner Groups.
22 Jun - Updates to Partner Profile, Social Media, and Settings area
- Configurable Partner Profile for partner accounts
- Social Posts Library available to partners without a social account connection
- Updated Settings area in ZiftONE Admin
- New location for links to Academy and API Documentation
- General improvements and bug fixes
Configurable Partner Profile for partner accounts
ZiftONE Admin includes a Profile area for each partner account, which displays the information you hold about the partner. It's now possible to configure the Profile area, to ensure you capture the information you want, and control how it's provided/edited.
These new options are available:
- Add / remove / reorder fields in the profile, including custom fields
- Define display conditions for fields
- Specify whether a field is editable or read-only
- Make a field required or optional
To configure the partner profile display, go to > Settings > Forms & Fields > Partner, and choose the Partner Profile (ZiftONE) form. The UI should be familiar, as it's the same as the one you use to configure other forms.
For more information, see Form Configuration.
The configuration you set here is shown when you edit a partner's profile:
Social Posts Library available to partners without a connected social account
If you provide a library of evergreen social posts for your partners in the portal, all their users can now see them, even if they don't have a connected social account (shared/company or personal) yet. This will enable partners to see the great social content you're providing, and encourage them to get connected and start posting.
Note: the + icon, for activating posts, is visible but deactivated when the user hasn't got a connected social account.
Updated Settings area in ZiftONE Admin
We've made some changes to the Settings area of ZiftONE Admin (accessed by > Settings). The list of settings is now alphabetized, to make it easier to find the one you want.
This change also applies to the Advanced area, which is available to internal Unifyr users.
We've also renamed the AI Expert area to AI Settings.
New location for links to Academy and API Documentation
We've moved the links to these pages to the Advanced Administration area of ZiftONE Admin, accessed by clicking the icon. You could previously access them with the ? icon on the top toolbar:
- ZiftONE Academy
- API documentation
15 Jun - Update to Custom Objects

08 Jun - Updates to AI Expert and training (LMS) content pages
- ZiftONE Admin's AI Expert available for all
- Portal filter logic for LMS feature pages
- General improvements and bug fixes
ZiftONE Admin's AI Expert available for all
We've made ZiftONE Admin's AI Expert available to all suppliers in this release. When enabled, you can use the AI Expert to to help you carry out some of your day to day administration/configuration tasks:
- Generating an overview of a partner for their partner profile
- Improving text descriptions you’ve written
- Creating the content of social posts
- Creating to-partner emails and pop-ups
- Setting up partner groups
- Generating an overview about a deal account for their profile
- Assessing confidence in leads and deals
You can also have a conversation with the AI expert, who can give you guidance based on its access to your content and the ZiftONE academy.
Your administrator will need to enable the expert on your system.
For more information about the AI Expert, see ZiftONE's AI Experts.
Portal filter logic for LMS feature pages
We've made an update to how pre-filtering LMS pages in your site navigation generates content filters for the partner to use in the portal. If the pre-filter has only one tag in a category selected, a filter for that tag category is not shown in the portal. A filter is not needed as all content is tagged the same.
This logic applies when you're adding the Certifications, Courses, and Training Content feature pages to your portal.
For example - you have a tag category called Objective, with three tags Product Knowledge, Portal Knowledge, and Sales Enablement:
-
With no pre-filter for the page in site navigation - the Objective filter is included in the portal view, with all tags from the category shown
-
With a pre-filter based on two or more tags in site navigation - the Objective filter is present with only the selected tags
-
With a pre-filter based on one tag in site navigation - the Objective filter is not present
Note: tag availability in the portal filter is based on what tags have been added to content. If a tag currently has no LMS content associated with it, it will never appear in the filter.
01 June - Updates to training (LMS) content and pages, Tags,
and Social Posts
- Publish LMS modules as standalone content
- New Training Content feature pages
- Reorder the tags in a category
- Hidden categories for LMS tags
- Copy option for social posts
- General improvements and bug fixes
Publish LMS modules as standalone content
It’s now possible to provide training modules from your LMS as standalone content in your portal. Previously, modules could only be made available in a course.
When creating a module in Partner Management > Learning Management > Modules, you have these new configuration options:
- Publish to portal
- Start and and end dates (availability)
- Tagging (with tags of type LMS)
You can use these feature pages to help partners access modules in the portal:
- Training Content - all courses and modules available to a user
- My Training - shows a user's progress across their courses and modules
These pages are new in this release. See below for more information.
New Training Content feature pages
We’ve introduced two new feature pages that allow you to display training (LMS) modules and courses to your partners in the portal.
-
Training content
Shows all Courses and Modules that are available to the user.
When adding the page to site navigation, you can pre-filter it to only show content that is categorized by certain tags (of type LMS), and restrict its visibility to certain partner groups.
The page also includes filters based on tags when presented to the user.
-
My Training
Shows a user their progress across the courses and modules they’ve selected.
The page is split into three areas:
- Courses in progress
- Viewing history - for completed modules
- Course completions
Reorder the tags in a category
When setting up your content tags in ZiftONE Admin, you're now permitted to reorder the list of tags in a category. Drag and drop a tag to its required location in the list.
The order you set is used in content filters on the portal as well as in ZiftONE Admin.
Hidden categories for LMS tags
We've added LMS to the list of content types whose tag categories can be hidden from partners. If a category is hidden, it's not displayed to partners in their portal content filters. The category is purely for supplier use: to tag content, and to pre-filter certain feature pages to only show specified tags, when adding them to the portal site navigation.
When adding a tag category, disable the Partner Portal > Show setting to hide it.
You can now hide tag categories for these types of content:
- Marketing Activities
- Social Content
- Library Content
- LMS
Copy option for social posts
We've introduced a copy option for social posts in ZiftONE Admin, so you can easily create multiple posts that share a lot of content/details.
A new Copy button is available when viewing a post from Partner Marketing > Social Media > Social Posts:
27 May -
Approval/rejection of new Partner Users by supplier
We've added the option for you, as a supplier, to approve or reject new partner users that have registered for access to your partner portal. Previously, this could only be done by a partner's administrator.
In Partner Management > User Explorer > Pending, you'll see a list of users that have self-registered on your portal. Select the users you want to approve or reject, then click Approve Users or Reject Users as appropriate.
Note
This feature needs to be enabled on your system. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team to have the app setting Enable Supplier Approval and Rejection on Pending Partner Users enabled.

New look for ZiftONE Admin
We're pleased to announce a new look for ZiftONE Admin. The update gives a cleaner, fresh new style, with a new logo, fonts, and navigation colors.
The way you use ZiftONE Admin hasn't changed, just the way it looks.
Access to Support when logged out of portal
You can now give your partners the option to raise a Support ticket from the partner portal, before they've logged in.
Add the new dynamic content widget Logged Out Support Ticket Form to a custom page and include the page in a logged out view of the portal (ensure that the custom page has Requires Partner Login? disabled or you won't be able to select it for a logged out view):
The partners can raise a ticket from here, for example if they're having issues with login.
The request is sent to your team’s partner support email address. If you would like to update the address, submit a request to your ZiftONE team.
For articles about creating custom pages, see Creating/Editing Custom Pages and Advanced Custom Page Editing.
Save View and Sort option when viewing feature pages in portal
We've added a save option for partners to preserve the view or sorting they've applied to feature pages in their partner portal. They can click the Save View and Sort configuration button in the Campaigns, Collateral, Marketing Activities, Contacts, Deals, and Leads pages.
The next time they navigate to a page after applying the save, the page will be arranged in the same way.
Partners can include attachments on Registered Leads
We've added the option for partners to upload attachments to leads they're registering in the partner portal.
They can include one or more files when creating or editing a registered lead:
As the supplier, you can access the uploaded attachments when viewing the lead in ZiftONE Admin. Note the new look lead page - see below for information.
New look details page for Leads
We've updated the details page for a registered lead in ZiftONE Admin. The main change for you is that all the configuration options (Status, Lead Details, Events, Deals summary) are now accessed by an Edit button.
Internal Name and Display Name for a partner account
We've made a change that supports updates to a partner's organization name, and ensures that the changes are reflected in the partner portal. We can now differentiate between a supplier's name for the partner, and the partner's own name for their organization, with two fields in the partner profile in ZiftONE Admin.
In the Profile tab of the partner's account, see:
-
Partner Name (Internal) - existing field, renamed from Partner Name
This is the supplier-only name for the organization - it's only visible and editable by suppliers in ZiftONE Admin.
-
Partner Display Name - new field
This is the partner-facing name for the organization - it's editable by the partner in the portal (the Admin can manage this in > Settings > Company Profile). The supplier can update the field too, and the change will be shown in both ZiftONE Admin and the partner's Company Profile.
For partners:
Updates to Automations
We've made some small improvements to our Automations feature, where you can set up a simple workflow that will send an email to a specified recipient, partner role, or supplier user/role when triggered by a specific event.
- Transaction Submitted event renamed to MDF Transaction Submitted - this change better identifies the event
- Maximum character limit for branded emails increased from 225 to 2000
For articles about Automations, see Automations.
Increase in limit for bulk updates of partner accounts
We've increased the maximum number of partner accounts that can be updated in bulk to 2000.
For more information about bulk updating partner information, see Updating Partner Information in Bulk.
18 May - Updates to Automations, and Social Media settings and
Campaigns/Emails in portal

- General improvements and bug fixes
New Lead events for Automation triggers
With our Automations feature, suppliers can set up a simple workflow that will send an email to a specified recipient, partner role, or supplier user/role when triggered by a specific event. We've added some new trigger events, which represent the status updates made by a supplier to registered leads:
- Lead Registration Accepted
- Lead Registration Expired
- Lead Registration Rejected
Suppliers update the status of a registered lead in its detail view in ZiftONE Admin:
For articles about Automations, see Automations.
Updated Manage Social Feed settings in portal
We've updated the Social Media settings page in your partner portal, to make configuring a social feed more intuitive for partner users. The labels in the page now better indicate how to subscribe to social topics and specify the level of approval a user wants for posts that are tagged for the topics:
- Require approval before posting
- Auto-publish
Option to disable CYO campaigns/emails
We've introduced a new application setting Disable CYO Campaigns in Portal that allows suppliers to have Create Your Own Campaign and Create Your Own Email disabled for partner users. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if you want to introduce this restriction.
11 May -
Manage Collateral Content Types in ZiftONE Admin
We’ve added the ability for you, as a supplier, to manage your own content types to classify your collateral assets in the Collateral Library. Previously, the types had to be managed by your ZiftONE team.
Note
This feature is available for customers with asset-level permissions for their Collateral Library.
If your system is eligible, the option may need to be enabled on your system. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team to discuss your options.
Two new options are available in the Collateral Library in ZiftONE Admin (Library Content > Collateral Library):
-
Add new content types
Use the new Add button in the left sidebar of the Collateral Library, to open a form in which you can set up a new content type:
When adding a content type, you can assign a Partner Group filter to control which partners can have access to assets of this type.
-
Edit or delete existing content types
With a content type open, click … > Settings
This opens the details view for the content type, which you can update:
You can also click the Delete button to remove the content type. This is available if there are no collateral assets of that type.
Collateral content types are used when you are:
- creating collateral assets
- filtering the Collateral Library
- creating tags of type Library Content
For more information, see Managing Content Types for Collateral.
11 May - Updates to Custom Page editor, Automations, and AI support
- Template catalog for custom pages
- Send Test option for Automation emails
- Automation emails now support Merge Tags for Lead, Deal, and Custom Object data
- New Deal events for Automation triggers
- Creator recipient for Automation workflows
- Welcome email send metrics available
- New AI model
- General improvements and bug fixes
Template catalog for custom pages
We've updated our support for the custom page editor (powered by BeeFree) in ZiftONE Admin to include their catalog of templates. This gives you access to a greater range of pre-built content when creating your custom portal pages. You can use these templates as a starter for your page design, or as inspiration for creating your own.
When creating a new custom page, the Choose Template popup now includes a Library tab, where you can choose one of BeeFree's templates as the basis of your page.
For articles about creating/editing custom portal pages, see Custom Pages.
Send Test option for Automation emails
With our Automations feature, suppliers can set up a simple workflow that will send an email to a specified recipient, partner role, or supplier user/role when triggered by a specific event. We've now introduced a Send Test option to the feature, which you can use to send yourself a sample of the configured email. This will help you to verify that the content of the email is what you expect.
When configuring the automation, choose the Send Test option. ZiftONE will send a sample email to the logged in ZiftONE Admin user (usually you).
Note
Merge tags will not be resolved in a test email.
For articles about creating automation workflows and emails, see Automations.
Automation emails now support Merge Tags for Lead, Deal, and Custom Object data
We've added the ability to use merge tags (placeholders) representing Lead, Deal, and Custom Object information in Automation emails. Previously, only Partner and Partner User data could be populated in this way.
When configuring an email for an Automation workflow triggered by a Lead, Deal, or Custom Object event, merge tags for that type of information are presented in the Merge tags dropdown in these areas:
- Email subject
-
Email body
-
in the Content area of the editor for the Custom Email template (if using the template option)
Choose Deal, Lead, or <Custom Object> in the Object field to access the relevant merge tags.
-
in the Content area of the Automation configuration (if using the Use branded email option)
Core fields and custom fields are available as merge tags.
For articles about creating automation workflows and emails, see Automations.
-
New Deal events for Automation triggers
We've added new trigger events representing Deal actions to our Automations feature, in addition to the existing Deal Created event:
- Deal Approved
- Deal Expired
- Deal Rejected
- Deal Updated
For articles about creating automation workflows and emails, see Automations.
Creator recipient for Automation workflows
We've added a new option to our Automations feature - you can now include the Creator of an object as a recipient for an automated email workflow.
When creating the Automation with a Lead, Deal, or Custom Object event as a trigger, choose this user as the recipient:
Recipient - Partner
Partner User - Creator
You can email the Creator when an email is triggered from these events:
- Deal events
- Deal Created
- Deal Updated
- Deal Rejected
- Deal Approved
- Deal Expired
- Lead events
- Lead Registered
- Lead Registration Accepted
- Lead Registration Rejected
- Lead Registration Expired
- Custom Object events
- <Custom Object name> Created
- <Custom Object name> Updated
For articles about creating automation workflows and emails, see Automations.
Welcome email send metrics available
ZiftONE can now track the sending of Welcome emails to partner users, and a BI representative can expose the information as a metric in a ZiftONE Explore/report. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team if you want to report on this information.
New AI model
We've updated the AI model that powers the AI features in ZiftONE. We've moved from Claude Sonnet 3.5 to Amazon Nova Pro (Multimodal model).
With the update, you'll see improved responses in the areas of ZiftONE supported by AI - faster, better formatted, and more relevant.
For information about our AI support, see these articles:
04 May -
New Program Points dashboard
We've added a new dashboard that will allow you to easily track your ZiftONE Program Points spend and balance.
You can find the report under Analytics & Reports > Operational Metrics in ZiftONE Admin.
For more information about the dashboard, see Program Points Dashboard.
For information about Program Points, see About Program Points. You will be prompted to log into your CustomerONE account to access the link.
04 May - Updates to Leads and Deals, and Custom Page editor
- Lead > Deal data mappings for lead conversion
- Rename of template selection pages for Custom Pages
- General improvements and bug fixes
Lead > Deal data mappings for lead conversion
We've introduced the ability to have data copied over from a lead when a partner converts the lead into a deal. This will provide a set of default values in the New Deal form, which partners can then accept or update before submitting the deal.
In > Settings > Forms & Fields > Deal, go to the new Lead Conversion tab. Here you can provide mappings between lead fields and the target deal fields to which you want the data copied. Click Add to save each mapping. You can choose core or custom data fields, or Deal Type, or Pricebook.
Take care when mapping your fields as ZiftONE doesn't validate the mappings - incompatible data type mappings such as Text > Number are ignored. To help you, each field name is suffixed with the type of data the field accepts, e.g. Pricebook (Text) or Created (Date).
When a partner converts a lead into a deal in the partner portal, the New Deal form will show the copied data in the specified fields.
Note
Ensure that you've added the deal field into the relevant deal form if you want to use its mapping.
For more information, see Creating Lead > Deal Mappings for Lead Conversion.
Rename of template selection pages for Custom Pages
We've made a small change to rename the tabs available when you're choosing a template to format a custom page:
- Default (formerly Zift Templates) - pre-built templates
- Saved (formerly Saved Templates) - your own custom templates
For information about creating Custom Pages, see Creating/Editing Custom Pages.
27 Apr - Updates to Partner Groups, User Explorer, and Leads
- New Partner Group rule - Selected Users
- User rules shown in Advanced Partner Group summary
- New Pending tab in User Explorer
- Addition of Sales Rep identifier for Lead Owner
- General improvements and bug fixes
New Partner Group rule - Selected Users
We've introduced a new rule that you can use when creating Partner Groups in ZiftONE Admin - Selected Users. This rule allows you to create a group of individual partner users, to which you can target certain content or TPC messaging.
When creating a new Partner Group in Partner Management > Partner Groups, choose the User Segmentation Rule Selected Users. You can then search for each user you want to add to the group, or exclude from it, using the Is or Is Not operators. The drop down list includes all partner users configured in your system.
For information on managing Partner Groups, see About Partner Groups.
The Selected Users rule is also available when creating Advanced Partner Group rules / adhoc Partner Groups. For more information, see Using Ad-Hoc / Single-Use Partner Groups.
User rules shown in Advanced Partner Group summary
When you're assigning an Advanced (adhoc/single-use) Partner Group to content or messages, or site views, ZiftONE now summarizes all the rules (Partner Rules and User Rules) that you've used to create the group. Previously, only the Partner Rules were listed.
For example, setting the recipients of a TPC email using Advanced rules:
The summary of the rules:
For information about this type of Partner Group, see Using Ad-Hoc / Single-Use Partner Groups.
New Pending tab in User Explorer
We've added a new Pending tab to the User Explorer in ZiftONE Admin (Partner Management > User Explorer). The tab lists users who have registered for ZiftONE and have been identified by their email address as potentially belonging to an existing partner account. A user's record remains in the list for your reference until their registration is approved/rejected by the partner administrator.
Addition of Sales Rep identifier for Lead Owner
It may be the case that a partner account has a portal user and a Sales Rep user with the same email address - for example if a CRM integration adds a user, but the partner manually adds the user as one of their Sales Reps. This can cause confusion when assigning leads, and lead to the Sales Rep not seeing their assigned leads.
To mitigate this, ZiftONE now includes confirmation when a lead assignee/owner is a Sales Rep user. You can see the info in two places:
When partners view the lead in the partner portal
When suppliers view the lead in ZiftONE Admin
22 Apr -
New From Address for Reports and Dashboards
We've changed the From address that sends scheduled reports and dashboards from ZiftONE Admin by email.
The new sender address is: reports@unifyr.com
Previously, the emails were distributed from reports@ziftsolutions.com.
We recommend that you advise recipients of this change so they can whitelist the new email address if required.
20 Apr - Updates to Tags, and Learning Management pages
- Reordering tag categories
- Usability improvements for Learning Management listings
- General improvements and bug fixes
Reordering tag categories
As well as being to create your own tag categories for Marketing Activities, Social Content, Library Content, and Learning (LMS) content, it's now possible for you to manage the order in which the categories are displayed to your partners in the partner portal. As a default, categories are displayed in the order they are created. Previously, reordering of the categories had to be done for you by your ZiftONE team.
In > Settings > Tag Management, choose a tag type then go to the Category area. Drag each category to the required place in the list.
The order you give here will be reflected in the content filters on the relevant page in the partner portal (shown here in the Courses page).
Usability improvements for Learning Management pages
We've introduced two changes to the pages in the Partner Management > Learning Management section of ZiftONE Admin, to make it easier to navigate around them:
-
Column configuration for Courses and Certifications pages
You can now select which columns to display in the Courses and Certifications listings. Columns representing standard fields are available, plus any tags (of type LMS) you have in place for learning content.
Click the Column Configuration button then drag and drop fields to and from Available Columns and Selected Columns as required.
-
Open LMS content in a new browser tab or window
You can now choose to open items in the Modules, Courses, and Certifications listings in a new browser tab or window. This makes it much easier to view/edit multiple pieces of learning content.
Right click on an item name, and select one of the Open link in a new xx options.
13 Apr - Update to System Messaging
- Notifications on new Deal Account requests
- General improvements and bug fixes
Notifications on new Deal Account requests
We've introduced the option for you to define a user or list of users that should be notified when a request for a new Deal Account is made by one of your partners.
Navigate to > Settings > System Messaging and go to the Notifications tab. The notification type Deal Accounts is now available - click on it to open the list of users with the Administrator or Channel Account Manager role. You can select any of the users to receive an email notification when a Deal Account request is submitted.
The email includes details of the account, and a link to it in ZiftONE Admin - any of the recipients can access the account to approve/reject the request.
For information about Deal Accounts, see About Accounts for Partner Deal Registration.
06 Apr - Updates to LMS, TPC Email/Pop-ups, AI Expert in portal,
and Custom Email/Page Editor
- Tagging of LMS content
- Translation of LMS content
- Mandatory recipient selection for TPC emails/popups
- Suggested prompts for the Portal AI Expert
- New properties available in Custom Page/Email Editor
- General improvements and bug fixes
Tagging of LMS content
We’ve introduced self-service tagging for LMS (learning/training) content. You can create your own LMS tags and apply them to the courses and certifications you make available to your partners. With tags, you can categorize your learning/training content and make it easier for your partner users to find that content.
These options are available:
-
New LMS tab in > Settings > Tag Management, where you can create and manage your own LMS tags and tag categories.
-
Option to filter the delivery of your LMS content to the portal based on your LMS tags
When adding the Courses or Certifications feature pages to your partner portal, you can choose the tags that categorize the content you want to display in those pages.
-
Option to provide filters based on tags in the Courses and Certifications pages in the portal
User can use the filters to find the content they need.
For more information about Learning Management, see About Learning Management and Building an LMS.
Translation of LMS content
We’ve introduced the option for you to translate your LMS (learning/training) content into any of the languages supported in ZiftONE Admin. This makes it easier for you to support training for your international partners.
In Partner Portal > Translations, go to the LMS tab in the left sidebar. Here, you can use existing translation functionality to translate these pieces of information for any of the Certifications, Courses, Modules, and Quizzes you have configured on your system:
- Name
- Description
Your partners will see the translated information when they log into their training pages, if their profile language is set to one that has translated content:
For more information about translating portal content, see About Translations.
Mandatory recipient selection for TPC emails/popups
We've added a new control to the process of creating TPC emails and popups. Previously, the recipient list for a new email/popup was set to All Partners for you, as a default. However, feedback has indicated that sometimes this leads to suppliers sending messages to more partners than they intended. To mitigate this, we've now made the definition of recipients mandatory - when you're creating a new email or pop-up, you must select a Partner Group or Groups, or create an Advanced partner group rule.
As an extra guide, the Send/Publish/Schedule button will not be available until you've made the selection.
You may have existing TPC messages that have All Partners selected as the recipient list - these will be handled based on their current status:
- Draft - you must define the recipient list to be able to send/publish the message
- Scheduled/Sending - messages will still be sent/published to all partners
- Completed/Published/Archived - messages remain marked as sent/published to all partners
For more information about TPC communications, see Message Partners.

New properties available in Custom Page/Email Editor
The WYSIWYG Page/Email Editor in ZiftONE Admin includes some new formatting properties:
-
Content Area Padding
Specify the padding to be applied round all the content in a row. This makes it easier to pad a multi-column row. To access the property for a row, go to Rows > Row Properties, and scroll to Layout > Content Area Padding.
For example, this row has content area padding of 0 on all sides:
This is the same row with the content area padding increased to 60 (maximum):
For more information, see Content Area Padding (this is an external article, we have no responsibility for its content).
-
Hover Styling for Buttons
Control the background color, text color and border of a button when a user hovers their mouse over. To access the hover styling options for a button, go to Content > Button Properties, then scroll down to Button Hover. Toggle on the Button hover option to reveal the available properties.
For example, this button is green as a default, but is set to dark blue with white text on hover:

Message to confirm recipients of a TPC email or pop-up

The message confirms the number of users who will receive the message, and how many partner accounts they represent. This information will help you to confirm that you've defined the target audience correctly - you can proceed with the scheduling/sending or cancel it if the number of users/partners doesn't align with your expectations.
For more information about TPC communications, see Partner Messaging Overview.

Target TPC pop-ups to specific portal pages
If you're communicating with your partners via pop-up messages on their portal, you now have the option to specify the page of the portal on which the message will appear. Pop-up messages are currently only displayed to partners on the portal homepage, when they log in (this is still the default).
To specify the target page for a pop-up, set the Target page field when editing it - click Edit and choose the page. You can select a standard feature page or one of your custom pages:
If you don't set the field, the pop-up will appear on the portal homepage as usual.
For information about TPC pop-ups, see Message Partners and Creating a Pop-up for the Partner Portal.
AI can generate your Unifyr+ profile
Our Unifyr+ portal has been officially released for beta testing and, as a ZiftONE supplier, you can register as an early adopter to participate. To appear on the Supplier Locator in the platform you need a profile - a logo and a description as a minimum. We've added AI support to the profile configuration page, to help you generate this profile with minimal effort.
In the Get Started with Unifyr+ page (accessed by clicking the icon in the ZiftONE Admin toolbar), go to the Add A Description field. If the field is currently blank, ZiftONE's AI Expert will generate a description for you. You can use it as is, edit it manually, or use the Improve Writing option to get clarification, error correction and paraphrasing. The description shows the label This description was generated with AI if the AI Expert's version is in place.
As part of this update, ZiftONE will also add a logo for you in the Choose Your Branding area. If you save the profile without choosing a logo, ZiftONE will use the logo defined by your ZiftONE team for your partner portal branding.
Click Save to ensure the AI changes are registered.
For more information about opting in to Unifyr+, see Unifyr+ and Supplier Locator.
Maintain multiple conversations with ZiftONE Admin AI Expert
If the AI Expert is enabled for you in ZiftONE Admin, you can now create new conversation threads, and up to 10 threads will be stored for you to revisit later. When you've launched the Expert with the AI sparkles icon, use these buttons:
-
- start a new conversation if you're already in one
-
- get a list of the 10 most recent conversations, and rejoin one if required
Early access to the AI Expert in ZiftONE Admin is available to suppliers who have opted in to participating in the beta release of our new Unifyr+ platform.
For information about enabling the AI Expert (once you've opted in to Unifyr+), see ZiftONE's AI Experts.
Auto-reject leads via automated workflow
We've added a new action to internal workflow configuration, which allows you to specify that distributed leads are automatically rejected, for example if you want to sideline a particular type or if a partner hasn't picked them up for follow up after a specified period of time.
Use these options in a workflow to set this up:
- Entry Condition based on Lead > Lead Source - pick the type(s) of lead that should be eligible for auto-rejection. This can include leads generated from a Locator.
-
Action step Reject Lead
This is used a the final step in a workflow, either the final stage or the end of a conditional branch.
If a lead reaches the Reject Lead step in the workflow, it is auto-rejected, and its status is set to Rejected. Any configured Lead Rejected notifications will be sent.
For more information about creating internal ZiftONE Admin workflows, see Manage Workflows.
Note
This is an internal release note. Submit a request to your ZiftONE team for assistance with this type of workflow - they must set them up for you.
Partner notification for auto-accepted Distributed Leads
We've added a new configuration option for email templates that format lead distribution notifications. We now allow you to show or hide rows of content, depending on whether your partners accept the leads manually or have activated lead auto-acceptance in their portal settings. For example, you can include Accept Lead / Reject Lead / Reassign Lead buttons in notifications if partners are manually accepting leads - if your partners are auto-accepting leads, the buttons are unnecessary and can be excluded.
Previously the notification was the same, regardless of which method of acceptance was in place.
When editing the notification template in > Settings > System Messaging > Lead Distribution, choose the Display Condition Lead Auto-Accept for all rows in the form that you want to show/hide:
Select the value of the condition:
- Partner auto-accepts Distributed Leads - the row will only appear in lead distribution notifications sent from the template if the partner has set up lead auto-acceptance.
- Partner does not auto-accept Distributed Leads - the row will only appear in notifications from the template if partners are manually accepting distributed leads.
For more information about configuring these display conditions, see Configuring Conditional Content Display in Lead Distribution Notifications.
For more information about customizing Lead Distribution notifications, see Creating a Custom Email Notification Template.

Self Service Emails and Notifications
We have introduced the option for you to create, customize, and use your own templates to be used for these types of email:
- Welcome emails for new partners registering for portal access
- Notifications to partners when they receive distributed leads or register leads
You can maintain separate templates for your different Partner Groups, allowing you to tailor communications to partners that satisfy certain criteria.
Email customization is traditionally managed by your ZiftONE Implementation team, which takes time - customization and updates can now be done by you and pushed to your partners in real time.
To manage templates, go to > Settings > System Messaging in ZiftONE Admin.
Use the left sidebar to navigate to the type of email you want to create:
- Welcome Emails
- Lead Distribution
- Lead Registration
Base templates are provided, with the same format as the standard Welcome and Lead Notification ones, and you can customize these areas:
- Name
- Subject
-
Partner Groups
Partners tagged in the specified Partner Group(s) will receive this email instead of the standard email.
Emails are sent based on Partner Group priority. Partners will receive email notifications based on the first template they are tagged in, if their Partner Group assignment matches them to multiple templates.
Partners not tagged in a Partner Group that matches a template will receive the standard email. The standard email is managed by your ZiftONE team.

Automations
We’ve introduced a feature that allows suppliers to set up simple workflows that will send an email to a specified recipient, partner role, or supplier user/role when triggered by a particular event. Workflows of this type are called Automations in ZiftONE Admin.
For example, you may want to send an email to a CAM if a user updates a partner's Company Profile, or when partners complete certifications.
Suppliers can manage a set of templates that can be used to generate automation emails.
Note
If you have used the Automations feature before, you may find that the location has now changed. It was previously accessed via the icon in the ZiftONE Admin toolbar.
To set up an Automation, go to > Settings > System Messaging. You can use these tabs to configure your automation workflow:
-
Automations - create and manage your Automation workflows
-
Custom Emails - create and manage your custom templates for emails triggered by workflows
Once a workflow is up and running, you can view the log of its recent activity. Any failures will be recorded here, so you can troubleshoot the setup of the workflow.
